Stupid Question

Ok I know I'm an idiot, but I still can't figure out how to post a smiley face icon in the message, I attempt to drag and drop, doesn't work, and the thingies at the bottom if i click one on it appears up at the top, not in the body of the post. Is there something I'm missing? I guess there is, thanks.

I just try and make sure my cursor is at the point I want the smiley to appear. I know the glitch you're referring to though.

you don't drag and drop. You just click on it with the left button on your mouse. The image will end up where ever your cursor is.

And for icons you use a lot, you can just memorize the code and type it in yourself.

For instance if you want you just put : and ) right next to each other with no space in between. For it's just : teeth : (only with no spaces between the : and the letters).
