I know this probably sounds really idiotic, but does FW have any pull through sites?

I have the option of picking up my Grandparent's RV in St. Augustine for November. I know by taking the RV we'd save a ton of money, while still getting the onsite experience. The only problem is that I'm petrified of attempting to back-up a 30 footer into a FW site!

there are 2 pull thru sites in the 1200 loop (Full Hook Up), You could request it but it would not be guaranteed. Its not as hard to back in as you may think, and I'm sure someone will help you if needed (Cast Member or fellow camper)

I would request a pull thru and have them note on your resi that you need a site a newbi can back into. There are several sites that are very easy to back into. They are almost a straight back in from the loop. I know 1307 is very easy. Don't be afraid to ask for help. I would not miss the chance to camp FW and if you happen to save a bunch of money in the process all the better.

It'll just be a matter of convincing my girlfriends from college that RVing is the way to go. :teeth:

All you have to do is let the CM know that you are a rookie when you get there and they will make sure someone comes and helps you back in. When I made my ressies I let them know I was a newbie and they told me to remind them on check in and they'd help if I needed it!

We stayed in the 1400 loop and my husband had no problem backing in. Our TT is 35 feet and with our crew cab truck we are around 60 feet long, and it went really smooth. We did have a CM come to our site just in case and he helped spot him, but he did it just fine. Just make sure you let them know on your ressie how long you are.

Why don't you practice backing it up before you get there?

Then you can get a feel for it before you have to maneuver in a tight spot. Use those mirrors! That is why they are there! Forget what you are doing with you hands and do what you have to do to get it where you want. It just takes some practice.

Don't Worry!!

You can do it!!!

:tink:

Camping is unlike any other experience available. Sitting outside on a lawn chair grilling a nice thick steak is not something you will be able to do at a hotel. Anyway to get back to question you asked, I have a 39' fifth wheel and I can pretty much put it where I want it now, but that is after a little practice. But as "DisneyCampers" has stated I do not think you will have a problem at all finding someone to help you if you need it and I am not even referring to the staff at FW. Campers are very friendly and will ususally go out of their way to assist you if you need it. But in closing I would make every effort possible to make sure and find a way to get the camper to FW you will not regret it. Happy camping!!!!!
