Stupid Question about Renewing an Annual Pass

I have a stupid question... when you renew your annual pass, is the renewal effective the expiry date of the pass? For example, if my pass expires Dec 21,2020 and I renew our passes in Nov, is the renewed annual pass effective from Dec 21,2020 to Dec 21,2021? I’m just thinking that if there are any promotions to renew, I’d probably like to renew earlier since I’m planning a trip at the very end of the year...

When you renew, it is for a full year

I always wait to renew until the month prior my preferred ap expires

You never know when UO will run a special of “renew now and get 3 additional months added to your pass”

I have received those bonus months twice before by renewing with that special link
