Stupid Le Cellier question - Do they ever accept walk-ups?

I made two ADRs at the beginning of our 180 day booking window. Unfortunately, this was before the wine and food event schedule was released. Our dinner reservation will be canceled because it overlaps with our "3D" Disney's Dessert Discovery event. Our lunch reservation is just a few minutes after Sweet Sundays ends -- I could explode like Mr. Creosote!

I've tried rescheduling but there is no availability during our entire period of stay for our group size (6). I've even considered splitting off from our friends and making our own lunch reservation for 2. But no such luck.

Is there any chance of getting a walk-up late lunch / early dinner at Le Cellier?

I saw three different families accepted as walkups when we were there to eat during the first week of June 2010. There was a kiosk set up at the entrance of the walkway that goes past the garden down to the restaurant. I was so suprised to see availability!

With free dining extended, though, things get tougher. You should show up right at opening time for an early lunch or early dinner. This is the best time to try any restaurant for a walk-up.

In the meantime, keep trying!

We've had dinner there several times without an ADR. We eat about 6:00 PM so the timing could play a roll. I have never experienced a big crowd at Le Cellier but I suppose its because Canada is not known for their fine steaks.

Your best and only bet is as a party of two. Over Christmas break last year, my husband and I were able to get immediate seating. They said only party of twos usually ever get a walk up there.

A family in front of me was told that without ressies, the best time to try was right at 11:30 for lunch or right at 4:00 for dinner. I have no experience though bc we went with ADRs. Good luck!:goodvibes

I'm not big on ADR's because I don't care for having to plan my time around when I will eat. But, I have eaten at several hard to get into places throughout WDW just by calling the WDW Dining number from my cell phone and by stopping by and asking if they have anything available. Some of this was during free dining and some not.

I have never tried, but when everytime I've dined there several people have walked up only to be turned away. It doesn't hurt to try, I agree that you will have a better shot at say 3:30 or 4pm.

If it is the off season you can get a walk in but durring the busy season it really hard to get.

Last September we cancelled our adr at Le Cellier (party of 4) on the morning we were supposed to eat there because it was our last touring day and we decided we wanted to go to MK and HS that day instead. So maybe try calling in the am on the day you want to eat there and maybe you'll get lucky!! :goodvibes

Be there for LUNCH opening..and MAYBE you might. With free dining and the dining plan, getting in as a walkup is difficult.I have seen more people turned away then seated as a walk up

We were at EPCOT the weekend of August 14th. My hubby and I walked up at 11:30 and were seated immediately. They told us they release walk-up seatings at 11:30 and 4:30, so that's your best time to get in. Good luck!!

We ate there in May and we had an ADR, but while we were waiting we were chatting with the CM's and they told us they couldn't believe how slow it was the last few days and they were accepting walk ups! I guess it all depends on when you go!:) Good luck!
