Stupid laundry question (towel)

I washed some new bath towels and now have a dark rust one covered in light lint - any way to remove it easily?

I tried a lint roller and it doesn't make a dent. Maybe washing it in fabric softener or vinegar or something?

I usually just toss it back in the dryer with one of those bounce dryer sheets. It will most likely do the trick.

clean out the lint trap, put a sock with fabric softener on it and the towel back in the dryer.
