How do you dispose of cooking oil? My friends are no help on this one, but I know I'll get an answer here within half a minute. TIA

What I usually do is let it cool completely in the pan and then use a funnel to pour it back into whatever bottle it came in and dispose of the whole thing in the trash. If you didn't use a whole bottle, an empty soda bottle will also do.

you took 2 minutes, but i thank you anyway. :D

i was thinking of doing that, but i usually recycle my plastic. i feel wasteful doing that. but if that's what i have to do... here goes.

I usually dump mine in the neighbors yard

My mom always dumped hers into an old coffee can, and kept it in the fridge till it was full, then threw it out.

I wouldn't worry about being wasteful on the bottle. You are actually reusing its bottle more than its original purpose.

I am big on reusing things so that is a fine compromise with me.

ok, i'll think of it that way. still sad that it goes to the landfill. i am going to have to become more wasteful, though, or i will just live in clutter forever.

Don't use it to cook with. It's not good for you anyways... ;)

Karen

See, if you reuse its not that you aren't "recycling". Recycling is basically reusing ....

And BTW, I sent you an email about a post I saw on the Budget Board
