We're going in August for 8 nights to WDW
There are 6 of us; so we needed either 2 rooms or a Home away. Well, after a lot of debating it, my DH and I decided on 2 rooms at POP. He has never been to the world and neither have his children. This makes the trip all the more exciting for my kids and myself.
While talking to a "friend" last night about the trip I told her where we were staying, her response: Well if you have to be so cheap about going to disney why bother to go at all? Just wait till you can afford it. I had no clue how to answer that, I actaully sat there in stunned silence.
Our reason for the POP is I know we're never in the room except to sleep, so with that being said we decided to book the less expensive room and use the money for really nice meals and spoil the 4 kids rotten on this vacation. Also when we were married in January we didn't take a honeymoon and want to do a few extra special things while down there, like V & A without the kids. I didn't even bother to justify our reason to her, I just changed the subject.
What would you have done?
