I sure could use some help. I have having such a hard time coming up with stocking stuffers for my son-in-law. When asked what he wants for Christmas, he only says white shirts & ties. So his birthday is 5 days before Christmas and we got him white shirts and ties. We managed to find something to buy him for Christmas thanks to an idea my DD gave me but now I'm stumped for stocking stuffers. I got him socks (I always put them in everybody's stockings) and a lotter scratch off ticket (again something I put in everybody's stockings) but now what??? :confused3 Any ideas would sure be appreciated. :santa:

chocolate
fruit
chapstick
itunes gift card
gift cards in general
chewing gum
floss, tooth brush, toothpaste (mom always does this one for everyone)
lifesavers

chapstick
gum
candy
beef jerky

What are his interests? If he golfs, golf balls, that type of thing.

How about one of those little Tide 2 Go stain sticks for all his White Shirts?

This is what makes it so hard...he used to golf but hasn't in a long time. He isn't a candy eater or a gum chewer. :confused3 This is why this is so hard. Thanks for the suggestions.

Cute idea! :rotfl2: He has to wear a suite everyday to work and I guess he never buys himself clothes so this is what he asks for every year for Christmas.

Car air fresheners?

deck of cards

cologne?? or would that be weird from a MIL?

Gloves, ear muffs

an ice scraper

nice pen

hot sauce :lmao: seems silly but my brother loves hot sauce so his wife puts it in his stocking

tire pressure gauge
beer bottle opener
reusable wine bottle stoppers
disposable hand warmer packet things
that big Extra pack of gum that fits in the cup holder of a car (I have one and love it, no more scrambling for gum when needed)
GC to his favorite fast food place, for lunch on the run

I buy stocking stuffers for my BIL. Our limit is $5. He loves chocolate so I usually get him $5 worth of See's candy. Caramel Buds are his favorite. Or I will get him golf balls, since he golfs. Last year he at all 7 or 8 caramel buds Christmas a.m. He just can't stop himself.

Oh, and he loves nuts so a can of cashews is good for him as well.

Another idea is a magazine subscription. You can usually find some good deals online. Just order it and give him the current issue in his stocking.

Good Luck! I'm sure he'll like whatever you get him.

This year I'm doing candy/snacks, socks, toothpaste and a toothbrush, toiletries, a flashlight, a DVD, and a tshirt.

I always put stuff like that in DH's stocking too! He loves all sorts of hot/spicy sauces and spices so I always look for this type of stuff when travelling or at craft fairs/specialty shops etc through the year and stick it in his stocking. Last year he got a pepper grinder because he also loves pepper.

Isotoner SmarTouch gloves. You can use these with touch screens such as iPhone, iPad, etc. They have some at Wal-mart for $14 or they have cheaper knit gloves (not Isotoner) for $3.00.

Earbuds headset for phone.

As a gag gift you could get him a really tacky musical Christmas tie. Our Dollar Tree had a whole rack of them for $1 each.

Does he travel? Travel size toiletries?

Stocking stuffers are my favorite. In my family we set a limit that no present in the stocking can be more then $5. Some of my favorite stores to find stuffers are marshalls/tj maxx, pier one imports, whole foods market. It is so fun to walk the aisles and find things to get in the stocking.

Duct Tape (and there is a book I got at Kohls called 101 things to do with duct tape)

tooth paste, tooth brush
the ACT rinse
coffee beans (or a gift card to Starbucks)

I went to our whole foods type store and went to the bins area - I'm putting in some different things - one is "dried goji berries" (it says on the container they are "brain food" Ds is in his last semester of college - and his fiance and him are very very health conscience )
but they have granola, dried fruit, dipped fruit (raisins in yogurt, raisins in chocolate)

BEER!! Sam Adams is hauling out a special brew that is $19 a Millinium beer "Samuel Adams Millennium makes a wonderful after dinner drink." (from their website) style beer - they also have bottles that are $5 - $9 DH is really into beer - last year DS bought him a brew kit - and this is a beer that dh wants to buy for the boys and him to share -

Dh's stocking is tough to stuff too!

This year I got him a new SD card, along with a Micro SD card (that one of his electronics uses) and the SD adaptor, Stylus' for his iphone and tablet, screen protectors for the phone and tablet. And sugar free candy.

If you have Amazon Prime, you can get most of that VERY inexpensively and it will arrive before Christmas! :goodvibes

DH is getting:

"goop" stuff to clean the computer keyboard
Some fun new socks
Wasabi peas for snacking
Hot sauce
chapsticks since he is always losing his
GC for his favorite lunch spot

DH and I don't do stockings for each other but I do still do one for DS26. He's getting:
Boxers
socks
a couple of gift cards for fast food lunches or coffees
body wash from Bath and Body
cologne
gloves
candy
gum

If I were to do one for DH, I would put in several airline size bottles of top shelf liquors and a couple of good cigars.

A good bottle of wine is another good idea.

Car wash GC's are always appreciated - especially if you live in a snowy climate!

Lots of great ideas on here guys! Thanks...keep them coming. :surfweb: I do already have socks, scratch off lottery ticket, a magnet for his car for the Washington Redskins (how he could not be a Giants fan is beyond me :rotfl:). Not sure if I got anything else since I'm not done wrapping. But I will definitely use some of the ideas listed on here! :)
