Stuffed Celery

I love stuffed celery! I just put cream cheese on top sprinkled with chopped pecans. Soooooo good. I think yours sounds very festive with the red & green!

I think it would just be a riot if I showed up at my stuffy MIL with PB stuffed celery logs. I could put some raisins on top like I do for DS and say they are ants on a log. She would have a coronary.....it wouldn't be good enough.

Just wanted to add a word about thick-headed husbands and foods that are new to them. Today, I told DH that I made date bars with DS. DH replied, "I don't like dates. What are they?"

He doesn't know what they are, but he knows he doesn't like them.

Well, see, I was with you, everything sounded good-- til the green olives part. I was thinking black olives. Green olives are just yucky. However, my dh would strongly disagree with that, he thinks the black ones are yucky. LOL So go ahead and take it! I'm sure most of the people will love it!

I always add a little horseradish to my cream cheese and olive spread and serve it as a cheese ball. Its always a big hit and soooooo easy to make!

Stuffed celery has been a holiday favorite in our family for as long as I can remember! There was a period of time when my Nana was getting a little 'forgetful' (putting it mildly!) but she insisted on making the stuffed celery. Well it got to the point that you never knew WHAT was going to end up in the celery! But I do give her credit in that she did always get the celery part down okay!
Nowadays, we stick to cream cheese and the green olives with pimentos...but we always think of Nana!
