I want this script SO DARN BADLY. Seriously, I WANT this thing. This is the second time one has shown up on eBay; presumably it's the same one. But the first time this thing was listed I was a jobless punk who didn't have the thirty dollars --buy it now, shipping included-- to get it, and now I'm well-funded enough to afford to bid. This, unfortunately, only adds a little more irony to the situation, because now, after months of waiting to see if the seller would FINALLY decide to re-list it,
everybody seems to want it.
Nobody bid before. The auction lasted a week, and not a single person bought or placed a bid on the darn thing. But this time? Nine bids. NINE BIDS! And I've had notoriously bad luck winning auctions when there are other bidders involved --if memory serves, I've won approximately once against other people when bidding for Treasure Planet stuff-- and this one will probably not be any different.
I lost a bid for this, too.
Never really tried to win one of these, but I do want one.
I
might like to have her, but I'm still having trouble getting over the way she looks. Really, everybody's seen the Disney plushes that actually *look* like the character they represent, so we know they exist. Why couldn't they have made a Capt. Amelia that wasn't so freaky looking?
(The Jim doll, on the other hand, is terrific. Wonderfully cute, and a good deal more accurate than Amelia even with the liberties they took with the design for cuteness' sake taken into account.)
