Stuff off the beaten path?

I read in some previous posts, that they have a place on Main Street that kids can make cookies with some of the CM's and characters. I think it takes place at the Plaza Pavilion. We've never had a chance to do it. But it sounds like a lot of fun.

Also I've read a lot of good things about the "Discover the Magic" tour.

I hope that helps. :)

EEEK! I dont want to know what I'll look like 10-15 years from now!!!;)

But that sounds interesting to do with my kids!

My older daughter ended up looking a lot like her mother, but my son (and nephew) weren't too excited about how they were projected to look in a decade or so. :rotfl: We kept a picture of his result of what he'll look like when he's 'a man' which he absolutely hates!

LOL! Thanks for all the GREAT ideas! Keep 'em comin' people!!! ;) :cool1: :yay: xo Linda

Another thing we like to do when we have time is get a list from city hall of all the penny stamper machines throughout DL and DCA and try to find them all and collect them. The stores at DL sell penny smasher books where you can store the pennys in, but we just stashed ours in my purse.

Just a hint some of the rides have the machines near the exits once you get off the ride.

This is a good idea. My younger ones have done this on the last couple trips and I forgot to recommend it. For the life of me I cannot figure out why they enjoy this, but they do. ;)

Kids are fascinated with it, I don't really get it either. When we got back from our trip my young cousins must have stared at our pennies for half an hour asking how the pennies got the pictures on them. They demanded we explain the mechanism in full detail, in the end we ended up giving them most of our pennies they loved them so much.

DH and I love to squish pennies, too, so it's not just kids! We get a couple each trip--and do so at non-Disney places, too--and have quite a collection. In fact, they're often our only souvinirs! I don't know why we like them and can't really explain the fascination--not-so-latent destructive tendencies? (I used to put pennies on train tracks, too.)

Oh, and DH and l love to wander up and down Main Street, play some checkers, sit in the rocking chairs, listen to the conversations on the phones in the Main Street stores.

My DD made cookies last year and loved it. We didn't have any characters with us, but the cast members that were hosting the cookie bake were awsome. And after they were done everyone got cookies. And they were YUMMY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is there an extra fee for this?

Nope :cool1:

You just need to get there a little early to make sure you are in line. I can't remember how many kids they can take but it is probably under 12 total that will fit on the stage area.

I forgot, they also get to decorate a little paper chef hat prior to baking. And the cast members walk around and get them "dirty" with flour. It is so cute. We have the best pictures from this.
