Stuff for 6 and 3 y/o?

We are thinking of spending a day at US, we are big Disney goers but I wonder if i should wait until the kids are older. DH& I are big Disney fans but we love Hary POtter as well. Can my DH and 3 y/o go through the que line to see the castle and not go on the ride? Is there enough for the the kids to spend $400 on tickets or is it better to wait until they are older?

Last time we were in Orlando was 2009 and my boys were 4 and 7. We didnt go to Universal because I felt the little guy would be left out of a lot of rides... And he's a brave one who would ride anything, just too short! They are now 10 and 7 so we are going this year. I would say check their heights with the ride requirements and go from there. I just felt too bad for my little guy, who had just reached 40 inches and was able to do more at Disney.

If your willing to go to both parks then there will be stuff for your 3 y/o to do. On IOA side, I don't know about the Forbidden Journey ride, he will be too small for that ride. You may ask the people there if you can walk through and when you get to the ride part just leave and go through the Exit. For your 3 y/o there is the Dr. Suess landing very colorful and cute for all ages. Everything else is big kids ride. On Universal said there are shows and maybe if tall enough he can ride the Despicable me: Minion Mayhem. But it's like a simulator roller coaster so I really don't know. There are many shows and stuff to explore. There is a little kids section of the park. There are barney shows, an animal show, a water area, and playgrounds. Hope this helped!!

I waited until my youngest was tall enough for most of the rides. Since the tickets are expensive, I paired the USO trip with Sea World, and other non Disney parks. Cheaper overall than all at Disney.

If you can swing the $400 dollars, the parks can be fun for you little ones. The parent trade off is great at USO. The kid watcher and kid generally wait in a nice room and you can generally all walk through the line up to the loading of the ride.

In IOA, the Suess area is really colorful and fun rides. The Marvel area is very colorful and you can meet Spider-Man near the ride, and the Pteranadon Flyer will be fun for the kids too.

In US, the animal show is fun, there is Barney, a parade, lots of chances to meet characters, and your kids may be able to do some of the rides, like D. Me, Simpsons, etc.

If you sty onsite, the free unlimited express pass will spoil you.

your children can go through FJ with you and use the child swap.
both adults will get turns to ride.

you can use the child swap system for most of the rides at the parks.


tell the TM you need to use the child swap.


Dr Seuss is great for littles.
if i ran the zoo is a fun thing for them to spend time at and play.


the Discovery Center at Jurassic Park would be fun for both of your kids.


at the studios you have the Barney show, woody woodpecker play area, Animal Actors show, frequent parade float with the minioinions and gang, etc.
check the website for children activities.

Wait till your kids are older. Disney is the much better park for the under 12 crowd.
