Studios to Downtown Disney?

Is there a bus that goes directly from the Studios to Downtown Disney?

No, they don't offer any bus service between DTD and any of the theme parks. If they did, lots of people would park for free Downtown. Of course they do anyway, taking a bus to a resort and then a resort bus to a theme park.

Thus, for you, you'd take a boat from DHS to the Boardwalk stop, go upstairs to the bus loop and take a bus to DTD.

Other options:

Bus to POFQ, transfer to DTD bus, or slow boat to DTD;

Bus to SS, transfer to DTD bus, or walk about 1/2 mile from Congress Park stop to DTD Marketplace.

That's what I would recommend.

We used POP to change last year. Didn't even have to get off the bus. It went to POP then through to DTD so it worked out great. It was quite late though - almost park closing time on an EMH evening so maybe that's why. We left just as Fantasmic was kicking off
