We're taking our first trip and will be staying in a studio at VWL for five nights and then we will be staying in a studio at OKW.

VWL studios vs OKW studios: beside OKW studios being larger than VWL studios, what else can we expect or not expect from each.

What about the furnishing differences, washer, dryers, refigs, etc. Please fill me in.

The size difference of studios is not substantial. The major difference will be that VWL has a queen bed and a double-sleeper sofa vs. the two queen beds in OKW. Everything else....frig, micro, coffeemaker are the same. There isn't a washer/dryer in the studios. You have to use the laundry rooms (but they are free.....just the cost of your soap). Laundry rooms at OKW are located at all the pools, including the two smaller pools. I'm not sure where it is at VWL.

The fridge is located under the counter. There's a sink, microwave and coffeemaker.

You'll be provided with a starter set of paper plates and plastic cutlery. You will have ceramic coffee mugs.

You'll also get a packet of coffee/sugar, etc. If you plan on making coffee each day, bring your own as it's not replenished.

Clothes washer and dryer at VWL is on the first floor around the corner from the elevators. That's the only one there, but VWL has only 136 units (if I'm remembering correctly) and one building. When I went by there it was not crowded at all (evening).

Although there were a lot of differences for us, since we had a handicapped studio at VWL, regular differences seemed to be in the type of balconies (sliding door at VWL vs. French door style at OKW), bigger balcony at OKW, and 4-cupper coffee maker at VWL and full size coffee maker at OKW (but I don't know if that's a standard thing, or just our good luck!)

You may not even notice the difference in size - it's only about 15 sq. ft. or so. In fact, many people think the studios with the sofa sleepers feel larger than the OKW studios with the two queen beds.

Enjoy your trip!
