::MickeyMo We will be spending 2 nights at the BCV after the Disney Magic cruise. We will arrive , I'm hoping, by 11 am to check in. We should be at the Studios by noon. This will be July 17, Sat. We will be there until closing and don't plan on seeing Fantasmic (saw it already ).Realistically, how much do you think we'll get to do considering the crowds. Thanks::MinnieMo

Try to grab a FP for the thing you want to see most right when you get there (time probably won't be until later though). From the time you get there- until an hr before the first Fantasmic will probably be busy, but once that starts you should be able to see things alittle quicker.

Check the show times for Beauty and the Beast. I really loved the show and it would be a great choice instead of waiting in a line while waiting for your FP.

Have a great trip!

I would agree about getting either a FastPass for ToT or RnRC if they're on your list of things to see right away. Then check out the show schedule. Millionaire, Indy, Beauty and the Beast, Playhouse Disney (if you've got little ones), Little Mermaid (which usually just plays every 20 minutes or so...but it does close early...be aware).

Since you don't wanna see Fantasmic, you can save the attractions - MuppetVision, Star Tours, Great Movie Ride - until later on in the evening. We tend to find that they empty out around 6:00ish or so.

If there's two Fantasmics when you go, then you're really lucky. About an hour before the first show starts, the park will empty out with everyone going to wait in line for the show. A great time to catch RnRC or ToT. However, RnRC and ToT get crowded again after that show lets out.

I've read many trip reports and have been several times myself. I've made observations on times when people post them in their reports. Generally, the rule of thumb I plan on is 2 attractions per hour. However, I have never been to MGM on a Sat. in July, so you might want to use that as a "best case scenario". Use fast passes and plan around the shows you want to see. Enjoy!

Our last trip we arrived at MGM at 1:00 and got our fast pass for TOT and by the time we were able to get another fastpass all the passes for RRC were gone. The stand-by time was 90 minutes so I guess it all depends on how busy they are. I will say that the least popular rides we got on with little or no wait(star wars, the little mermaid).
