Studios in Jambo vs Kidani

I was just curious do all Jambo studios have double sinks since they originally were reg resort rooms? Will the studios in Kidani have double sinks in the vanity area? When DVC members book a studio can they request either Jambo or Kidani and is it guaranteed?

Kidani Village and Jambo House are booking categories and will be confirmed at the time you make the reservation. You check in at the location you are staying in.

Kidani Village will only have standard view and savanna view rooms. Jambo house will have value, standard view, savanna view and concierge level rooms.

The studio samples are of Kidani and they only have single sinks. The kitchenette area in the sample is quite a bit shorter than the one in Jambo.

You will be checking into either Kidani or Jambo, whichever your reservation is in.

The only concierge level rooms at AKV will be at Jambo House. The points for Jambo House and Kidani Village are the same for the standard and savanna view rooms.

This goes along win the original post, what is the benefit to staying at kidani? Are their any benefits

I think the main benefit is in the 1-2 bedrooms in Kidani because they will have the extra full bathroom. Also, in Jambo, there is a whirlpool tub across from the master bedroom, but it's a tub and shower combination, not a separate whirlpool. I like the layout of those bedrooms better in the samples. I think the studios are a bit nicer there because in the sample there is a built in closet that holds the vacuum cleaner. In Jambo that vacuum cleaner takes up closet space in the stand alone unit, the only closet in most studios.

Also, the new pool is at Kidani and it looks to be special with water features.
Another point is that Kidani will have dedicated 2 bedrooms with 2 Q's in the second bedroom. In Jambo, all 2 bedrooms are lock-offs.

Are all facets of the pool supposed to open in May?

Will there be any kind of phase in for the Kidani Pool? Isn't there supposed to be an Interactive Water Area? Saw somewhere on these boards a beautiful picture of the pool in progress, but couldn't see the interactive water area...
Can't wait to see the finished product!

Yes unless you get assigned to room 5456. It is an HA studio and the floor plan shows a single sink (wheelchair accessible) and a roll-in shower in the bathroom of this studio. The floor plans show this as the only HA studio in Jambo House but these plans are not 100% correct.

Easy tip is to request a room with a tub to avoid the handicapped accessible rooms.

The other thing is that at Jambo, all the DVC units are so high up (5th and 6th floors)... from our previous AKL stays, I prefer being on lower levels than that.
