I just read a thread that AK is still doing its early Pandora opening around 8:30-8:45 when the park opens at 9 which worked fantastic for us last year. Has the Studios been doing this with Toy Story Land? Wasn’t able to snag a Fastpass for Slinky Dog on the day we preferred to go to the Studios and was wondering if they did a similar early pre-open.

I'd love to know this, too! We're heading to DHS on Dec. 13th and weren't able to get Slinky.

We were there this week for a 9am opening. We arrived at the park around 7:45 and were let into the park at 8:30 and held on the Main Street. At 8:45 they had a line of CMs that walked us all to TSL. It was a little chaotic with some elbowing but most people were calm. The line for SDD formed very quickly. It was out of TSL when we left around 9:15.

Thanks all for the responses. Looks like an 8-815 arrival may suffice. Have a fastpass for another day but if we can knock out not having to go back to the Studios again, we’d like to.

You also need to check on Early Morning Magic schedules. If that is going on, then you can’t expect to get on the rides early.

EMM ends at 8:45 and the reports have been pretty consistent that the big crowd is usually being walked up right then, though—so it sounds about the same as regular days.
