This is probably a dumb questin but...We are planning to stay in a studio for the 1st 2 nites of our vacation and then a one-bedroom for the rest. Does this involve a move or just opening a connecting room?:confused3

A studio to a 1 BR is an automatic move. Check out, check in, usually wait a few hours. For a move to a 2 BR it is possible to just open up and not have to move in some cases but is hit or miss. The couple of times we've tried it we've been successful but had to get new cards and check in again.

Will the hotel staff move our things or do we have to be present? I was hoping we could do the check out and in and then head to park and return to the new room with our things waiting...am I dreaming?:upsidedow

You will need to call bell services and be present when they collect your luggage. They will store it, and when you are in your new room, call them for delivery.

Right now we prefer the studio's only.

Yep, you're dreaming. Best you can do is pack up everything and call bell services. They will pickup and store your bags, but you have to be in the room when they come.

After you return to your new room, you do it in reverse.

If you have a car, I find at SSR (and likely OKW) it's easier to just put your stuff their so you don't have to wait on bell services. The only things I leave with them are the refrigerated items. At BWV, it's not worth the hassle to drag stuff all the way to the car, so I use bell services.

Thanks1 I was thinking about storing in the car as well, but didn't know what the walk was like from VWL parking lot.
