We've stayed at WL 3 times, and love it. Have no problem with myself and three small children in a room there. Ready to dive in to DVC, but have some specific ???'s about the Studio at the Villas as compared to the Lodge room.

1. How does the size of the balcony compare?

2. On the official WDW site, the room layout shows what looks like two separate closets, one just as you come in the door to the room, and the other in the vanity area. Is this the case?

3. Drawer space. From pics, it looks like you've got drawers in the bathroom vanity area, in the kitchenette area, and the 3(I think) in the armoire. Does this sound right?

4. Is the fold-out sofa bed a full-size bed?

5. What is the square footage of the Studio?

That's all for now. Responses would be greatly appreciated!

Hi

I haven't stayed in a studio, but I toured one and I thought they were much nicer than the lodge rooms (I think they're only about 15 sq ft bigger). It seemed like the ceilings were higher, but maybe not. The drawer space is probably a little more with the kitchenette - but the armoir should be similar to the lodge rooms. I can't help you with the closet space...But the fixtures and such in the villas are nicer than in the lodge. Hope that helps. Oh - the balcony on the 1 br we stayed in seemed smaller than the balconies in the lodge, and first floor rooms have a cement patio without railings.

We were just there last week, and I thought the studio had many nice improvements over those at OKW (although I still like the space there!) and BWV. There was only one closet in the room (but I did notice that other closet on the floor plan - we did not have one). The closet was near the sink area and was large enough. There are drawers in the kitchen, which is a big help, as well as 2 drawers and shelves in the bathroom vanity area. The drawers in the armoire are larger - for the first time I could actually store each person's clothing in a drawer, and not live out of a suitcase. The balcony was small - average for a hotel. The pull out couch is a full size bed - my 2 children were fine sleeping on it. We really liked the location, the pools, and I thought the villas were much quieter than the lodge (where we had stayed previously). Enjoy your trip!
