Studio or Inn Room at VB? Is there a real difference?

I know the Studio is slightly larger and that the Inn Room has 2 queen beds instead of a pull-out (not an issue for us with dd4 and infant dd). Are they in totally separate areas of the resort? Will it really make a difference? I may try for an ocean view Inn Room but am not that concerned if I don't get it. It also appears that both have a microwave, refrigerator and small table with chairs for b'fast. Thanks! :sunny:

We also debated on this same subject. Our dd's are older (3,8) so having another bed for them to sleep in and already made and not a sofa were important to us. The ocean view rooms are part of the main resort where as the Studios are located next to main resort. Closer to the main pool! I also liked the idea of an open balcony so that DH could relax late at night at the sounds of the ocean while we girls sleep. He wanted a one bedroom but points were too much.
I hope to get a good view in April!

We've stayed in both.

Ocean View Inn is our favorite. We love looking at the ocean and having a second bed that isn't a pullout.

Another vote for the Ocean View Inn room, LOVED IT!!!

We have an inn room (standard view or whatever it's called when it's not ocean view) for our upcoming VB trip--our first time to Vero!

Should we be putting in a room request?

View is not important to us, but with someone in our party with mobility difficulties, the fewest number of steps to the pool, beach and activities is what we're looking for.

Thanks for any advice!

We have a OVIR booked for June.

Do they have balconies?

We stayed in in Ocean View Inn Room and loved being Ocean Front!!! Amazing!!

Now I did get a chance to see the studios because the washroom near the main pool was out of service so they opened up a studio room behind the pirate pool to use.

I have to say it felt much smaller and very different than the Inn Room. Just my opinion but I do like having the 2 beds as well.

We were there two nights last May and from what I could figure out from looking at the building (and our floor's floor plan)is that I believe all have balconies. There are a couple rooms where I'm not sure about but maybe those are the beloved corner rooms that are a bit larger and have an extra window. We were on the 4th with an non-solid railing and enjoyed laying on our bed(s) a watching the ocean. I just wish the beds were a bit more comfy. DVC can get away with that at WDW because everyone is so tired but at VB you want a bit of pamering.

Thanks Lisa! :thumbsup2

We've only had inn rooms, but the next time DH wants us to get a studio. We went and peeked in a window of one, and thought it would be fine. I love the view of the OV, but we both really do like having 1 bed and a sofa to sit on when watching TV.

Some are solid balconies and some have slats.

Another point of interest... If you are there without little ones, there are 2 OVIR's that have one king instead of 2 queens that you could request if that appealled to you.

Also if you didnt read the other thread about VB. I added the comment that rooms on the north and south(pool) side of the building as well as the east(ocean) are also OVIR's.

It's called Garden View. All the 'Inn' rooms are in the main building - the Inn. The studios, one bedrooms and two bedrooms are in separate buildings on either side of the Inn. The pool is on the south side of the Inn, as is Community Hall. The beach is directly in front of the Inn, with the access stairs a few yards to the south of the Inn, and directly across from the pool. The Garden view rooms are the ones that overlook the front entrance. I can't think of any request you might consider for one of these, other then floor level, such as 2nd,3rd or 4th.

Not to upset your plans, but, at Vero and since you are already staying in the Inn, you should try to get an Ocean View room. The point difference is minimal - maybe 2 per night? and the view is gorgeous. Thats my favorite part at Vero, sitting and watching the ocean, sunrises, seabirds, a few boats, from your balcony.

If you can't get it, the Green Cabin room has a great view and you can also relax there. Enjoy your visit! :)

The Inn Rooms - Ocean View are fine. We've only seen two minor drawbacks:

1 - Sometimes at busy seasons, if you draw a room that is off the main atrium area, the noise of unsupervised kids running around inside early in the morning or later in the evening is a bit annoying. If you have young kids and are up anyway, then it would not be a problem.

2 - We are non-smokers and request non-smoking rooms. One time we were given a non-smoking room that was right above and next to the outdoor part of the Green room bar. There are a lot of people who smoke there, even cigars, and it made our use of the balcony not very enjoyable.

I would request a room down one of the wings, and not off the atrium and think you would be fine with an Inn room in that location.
