Decided to rent some points to take my wife to Epcot F&W Festival for her birthday (25 SEP). Obviously, studios at Beach Club and Boardwalk are gone (as is Riviera) at this late date (<7 months). I couldn’t talk her into a 1BR for Boardwalk, she wants cheap.

Simple Agenda:
Arrive Friday AM
Epcot F&W all day
MNSSHP Friday night
Epcot all day Saturday
Saturday night ?
Sunday Animal Kingdom
Sunday night Departure

I think we will Rideshare to and from the resort ($600 in savings buys a lot of rideshares).

Should we select OKW or SSR? Never stayed at either, don’t plan on much time there (possibly Saturday night for a few hours. If so, any tips? Both look spread out, and we are going for simple and convenient. Thanks in advance!

I love both resorts but If I had a choice and walking to DS isn't on your agenda I'd go with OKW because it has a more chilled vibe to it.

SSR has a queen bed and a pull out double sofa bed, OKW has two queens, and thus no sofa to sit on. SSR has elevators and outside corridors, OKW only has three buildings with elevators.

Since you are doing ride shares spread out and busses don’t matter, which room layout do you prefer.

My son would definitely prefer the double queen. That detail alone makes OKW a clear favorite. Thank you!

I will only add if you do preferred at SSR you are very very likely to get a renovated room which has two real beds. However, one bed is a sofa Murphy bed (similar time riviera and what’s at Pop). But OKW is a great choice based on your stated usage of a place mostly to sleep and a few hours.

I like having the sofabed. Two queens means sitting on the bed to chat and talk about the day. There's a little table with chairs but not super comfortable.
