How would you set up everyone for sleeping?
Especially at BLT.

We promised never to stay at BLT studio again but unfortunately no 1br available for the days we need.

Will we be able to use the sofa bed AND PnP at the same time?
Or will we have to have one of them in our bed?

You will have a hard time finding a space for the pack and play if the sleeper sofa is opened up. How about changing resorts?

Maybe you could request a second pack and play? That's if your young toddler will sleep in one, but they would take up a lot less room then a pack and play and the sleeper sofa open.

Yeah I was afraid of that.
We picked BLT because of the monorail to MK (no folding/unfolding stroller). That's the only park we're planning on hitting this time around (only for 2 nights).

Oh well, I guess one of us will sleep with DD and the other one with DS. :thumbsup2

Oh that's a thought!
Thank you. I might have to try to ask for a crib. DD sleep in a "real" crib no problem, pnp is iffy.

Have you tried to get VWL? You are only a boat ride away from the MK. And a crib will just be a request, not a guarantee.

We were waitlisted for WLV but then we remembered that on the smaller boat we'll need to fold the stroller as well. It might be a bit rough with 2 small babies and 2 strollers (albeit small ones).
Who knew how much vacation logistics would change when you have more than 1 kid :lmao: ?

When we went back in 2008 we were told Disney did not have cribs (atleast not at the POP where we stayed that trip). We rented a crib from A Baby's Best Friend -- www.abbf.com. It was delivered/picked up at the resort and didn't take much effort to assemble. It was wonderful and I felt much better having my daughter in a crib vs. in a bed with us. My son (toddler at the time) just shared one of the beds with me and my husband got to sprawl out. It took a little manuevering, but we were able to fit it in our little value room along with a double stroller and the rest of our gear. Just a thought in case you really want a crib and Disney doesn't offer it still. Have a great trip!

In our BLT studio, there was a lot of space by the front door (and next to the connecting door if you had the 1BR portion). I don't know how big pack and plays are - we don't have kids yet - but I would *think* one might fit in that area.

OP, I think you will be fine. I realize that BLT is small (I have seen it) but we easily set up 2 pack n plays at VWL with the sleeper sofa open and had room to spare. This was also with a huge double jogging stroller. You might have to move the table and chairs a bit or put the pnp by the front door but it can work. Good luck and have a great trip.

Thanks everyone.
I think I will try the 2 cribs (pnps) thing and if we can't get an extra one then we'll just have to sleep with 1 kid :)

The deluxe resorts do have real cribs, but yes it is a request. We stayed in a Blt studio this spring with a pnp and I think we could have had the bed out too - just takes a little creative space planning! We kept the stroller open in the room by the connecting door, but many people think a pnp would also fit in the kitchen area. We were also on the inside of the C - if you were on the outside you would have even a little more space.

The problem is that VWL studio is bigger than the BLT studio. BLT studio is the smallest of all. And most of the space is in the bathroom and entrance hallway.

We were able to put a crib (the 3/4 size ones the hotel provides not full size rental) in the alcove by the connecting doorway between two studios at kidani. Does that make sense. It was great because when dd went to sleep we had some space to spread out and watch tv.

Yeah, I've been looking at BLT pics and I think if we stack the chairs and move the table (is the table moveable?) as close to the wall as possible we might be able to fit a crib and a pnp in front of the sofa.
Now the trick is the find a place for our suitcases... :rotfl:
We'll survive, it's only for a couple nights...

So we are weird... When my oldest DD was almost 3, she would still sleep in a PNP. So we had both in a PNP (that was at the All-Star). This past trip in a studio at Saratoga Springs, we took a 3/4 length camping mattress (perfect size for DD almost 4) and used the PNP. We turned the couch so that the PNP was behind the couch and the couch facing the bed to give DD1 a little more quiet in the room. DD4 went on the floor on the camping mattress in the closet so she had her own 'room'.

Has anyone tried fitting a pnp or a child air mattress in the kitchen galley? It looks big enough in the pictures but I can't tell for sure. Our child air mattress is the same size as a crib mattress.

I like the idea of moving the couch. We're trying to decide if this would work for our family for 3 nights in 2012. Our kids will sleep much better if they don't have to share the couch.

Good luck and let us know what works!

Thanks for the ideas everyone.
Our DD is still too young to be left alone in the kitchenette area.
I'll try to take pics once we figure out what works... :)

If you'd only have posted earlier...the "dis experts" here would have, I'm sure, given you pointers on 'family planning' as it effects vacation planning!!!!

;)

The kitchenette is only about three feet wide. The PNP is wider than that.
