Studio @ GCV Nov 2-9 at 7 months?

Hi all - I am looking to book a studio at Grand Californian for Nov 2-9. If I can't get all 7 nights that would be ok but would like to be there Nov 3 for my husband's birthday (and the 7 nights would be nice!).

Should I call earlier and walk this reservation? How busy do you think it will be this time of year? I have been checking 7 months out fairly regularly and usually most of the week is available... but sometimes not the first day (which is why I am thinking of walking).

Had no problem getting a 2br last yr for that period at the 7 month window.

You have a good chance if you are online at 8:00am eastern, especially for a Saturday arrival. I've made 3 reservations at exactly 7 months.

You do realize that walking doesn't always work at 7 months because all the owners can already book the days you really want- you can't guarantee the room will be there with walking because you don't know when the owners vacations are already booked in that time period.

Yes of course I know that. But I have been checking at 7 months a lot and sometimes just the first day is missing... so it would at least help with that (get a jump on the non-owners who didn't walk).

ETA: Also my friend owns there so I might ask him to check availability ahead of my 7 months just so I know
