For the life of me I can not remember, will the studio mini fridge hold a pint of Ben and Jerry's??????????????

thank you from someone who has not had Phish Food in 2 years:thumbsup2

Here now and I dont think it will fit. It is a small freezer with one ice cube tray. The space from top to botton of the freezer seems to be about 4 or 5 inches high (but I could be wrong, no tape measure with me). You might be able to put the ice cream in a smaller square type container. An ice cream lover will find a way to make this work!

Those freezers don't freeze ice cream hard. It will be mushy. And I agree that a pint of ice cream probably won't fit in that freezer.

Get a one bedroom and a whole lot of ice cream.

Just hope you don't get the one value studio at AKV that is built differently, and doesn't have a freezer section. Or the value studio I got last time where the freezer door froze shut and was so covered with ice that it couldn't be opened.

I just found a picture of the one without a freezer. And I'm pretty sure it's still there-although they tried to replace it with a regular one, like above, that particular studio has a kitchen counter slightly off in height, so one with a freezer won't work.

Thanks every one. We will have a 1 bedroom for the second half of the trip. I guess I will just have to eat the whole pint in one sitting:rolleyes1. Thanks Simba for the pics that was very nice of you. It has been so long since having decent ice cream. We can't wait!

I have done that before when staying in a studio! Enjoy it!

Do you know what is the studio numbers for these studios since I will be in a value studio this February. I will be running into the room as soon as I get into it and looking at the freezer, or lack thereof. DH will think I am crazy.

If I could find a map of the AKV, I'd know for sure. However, my partially-reliable memory thinks they were #5020 (no freezer) and #5120 (unreliable freezer). Hopefully, the unreliable freezer got replaced-I called to report it several times over about 3 days and each time they said it was the first time it had been reported (no one noted my other calls?) and no one showed up. I hope the next guest had better luck getting it fixed. Someone should tell Jim Lewis that calling to report problems is no guarantee of getting said problems fixed. OK, off my soap box now.

We have that same fridge at our office. You can fit Ben & Jerry's BARS into the freezer! No way a pint will make it, though.

What's that you say... Ben and Jerry's Bars? You have my full attention;)

Off to google I go!

I just had a standard view studio in Jambo without a little freezer too!

Oh, Oh-with the value studio, I figure that for the great savings in points, it was fine not to have a freezer. But in a standard view, I'm a little surprised. I hope that at least the ice machine was very nearby. In my case, the ice machine was right across the hall, so it worked out OK.

My friend got the ice and I'm not sure how far she had to go. We had to call information to find out where the ice machine was. This was a HA standard studio. I had told my DF that I had picked Jambo because of the 2 sinks in the dressing area, and as soon as we opened the door, I realized what we had....HA, only 1 sink and a smaller kitchen area. Oh well, we made do with some help from housekeeping who provided us with extra bat mats so I didn't have to walk on the wet tile, I walked on the mats and all was well.
