I will be staying in studio units at VWL and BCV next summer. Can someone tell me if the pullout couches are big enough to fit an adult and a ten year old or should I rent a cot (is that even an option?). Thanks.

The cot is not an option. The pullouts are love seats and the size of a standard 4/6 bed. Only OKW and the Inn rooms at VB have queens as the second bed in a studio, not pull outs. As to fitting an adult plus a 10 yr old, it depends on the adult IMO. I would say yes only if they would be comfortable against each other and the adult is fairly small.

An air mattress that you bring yourself is an option - and most kids will camp happily for a week on the floor.

I have slept on the "pullout" in some of the studio units. I thought they are full size sleeper sofa beds.

I slept on the sleeper sofa at BCV with my DD who was 10 at the time, and was comfortable for the night. Neither of us are small, either. I would have said they were queen sized sleepers.

The only second BR that has a queen pull out are the BCV dedicated 2 BR that have a pull out. The rest are "full size". All of the LR pull outs are queen.

I slept on the pull-out sofa at BCV and found it wasn't long enough for my 5'4" self, so I had to sleep at an angle so that my feet didn't dangle over the edge. Fortunately, I was the only one on the sofa bed, don't know how you'd manage with 2 people.

DH and I slept together on the pull out at VWL and we did fine. I am 5' 4" and he is 5' 7" and we are average build. He isn't much of a complainer though, so even if he thought it was short, he wouldn't say so.

Which is precisely why I said "I WOULD have said they were queen sized."

I am pooh-sized and 5'10"; my DD at 10 was about 5'. we were able to sleep more comfortably than I expected. Of course, I don't sleep straight in even my king-sized bed--I sleep with my knees bent. I would not choose to sleep every night on a sleeper sofa, but for a short vacation, it was OK.
