Studio at Horizons Marriot or 1 BR at Westgate Vacation Villas (need help quick!)

Has anyone stayed or know anything about either of these and can help me out?

Horizon's pool area (and the resort in general) looks awesome but it will be further away and we will only be in a studio (me, dh and ds-6).

Westgate Vacation Villas looks okay from pictures I've seen on the internet but it would be a 1 BR, closer to Disney and has a Jurassic putt-putt on sight (son loves dinosaurs). Pools look kind of blah from what I've seen.

I've read iffy reviews on Westgate. I don't think I've seen a bad review about Horizons.

We will also be doing Universal/IOA and maybe something to do with Seaworld and I know Horizons is closer to those. Also maybe Blizzard Beach while we are there.

I need to make the decision pretty quickly (like today) before they are snatched up.

Never stayed at either but from what I have read about both of them, there is no way I would choose a Westgate over a Marriott. jmo

Yeah, I'm still leaning towards Horizon's, just for the pool pictures alone. The Westgate reviews (especially about their high pressure sales tactics) kind of scare me

There will also be a fee for the putt-putt at Westgate. I can't recall how much, but we skipped it rather than pay.

Horizons is in a convenient location, not much farther from Disney.

I'd go with Horizons too unless you want the privacy of the 1br. It IS nice to be able to get up and roam around the kitchen without waking up the rest of the family. Can't do that in a studio.

Thanks for your response. I think I'm going to stick with Horizons since we've already reserved it. If we went with Westgate, we'd have to pay another exchange fee of $139 and I have wanted to try Horizons for a while, even if it will be in a studio.
