I am bringing a group of teens from the USA to Paris for 4 days. Everyone over here is asking about getting international student ID cards. Is this necessary? We will be in Paris doing the sites, and most seem to be covered by either a museum pass, or be free for those under 18. These are clearly high-school students, and the cards cost $25 each. Do you think we should do this, or will it not really be an issue at places like la Louvre, Musee d'Orsay, etc.??

I wouldn't think it would be an issue - do they have id cards at the moment (school id cards etc)? I certainly would not pay for international id cards :goodvibes

I have never had any problems when just showing my Danish student card. I wouldn't waste money on an international one.
