stuck on a ride

Got stuck on Splash during my frist time riding it, right at the part where you go up before the major drop! It only lasted about 10-15 mins but the antipication was killing me!!!

When I injured my foot last year and couldn't get off the scooter for a day I got stuck in the little lift they use for ECVs to go up to the Tiki Room. Does that count? ;)

It really wasn't that long, maybe 5 minutes. It was a nice place to people watch and soak in a little sun. The CMs were incredibly apologetic and gave us free Dole Whips in the end.

We were stuck for about 30 minutes total. Maybe a bbit more. The diesel fumes coming up from Autopia were toxic, especially when they turned the air conditioning off. They seemed to have a bit of a problem getting the tow-a-rail hooked up. They were verey nice afterward and gave us 2 re-admit coupons for our trouble (each one for up to 6 people). We used them to go on Matterhorn and Alice, which had had insane lines all day. The CM at Alice gave the. Coupon back so we could use it on another ride. Probably because we were celebrating our anniversary AND my birthday. So we went on Peter Pan as welll. We had eithher done or had fast passes for most everything we wanted to do except those 3 rides, so it worked out.

The only other time I've been stuck on a ride was our honeymoon. We got stuck on Splash Mountain and had to be walked out. THAT time was actually interesting. This time was not. We couldn't see any "view", the babies were scared and crying, poor things, and the communication was late and not forthcoming. The passes were nice, but not worth the difficulty.

Still, alls well that ends well.

Got to ride Tower of Terror with all the lights on at WDW. Some problem caused them to have to reset the ride after we were seated. All of the lights were on although all special effects still operated. Very different experience.

We got stuck on the monorail one time a couple of years ago. It stopped right by IASM. It was awesome though because the parade was just starting. We got to see the whole thing from above. It was great! Would love for that to happen again.

wait i take it back , i got stuck once on alice too, right when you get into the forest area, it was creepy as the animatronics were still talking.. and it was dark , they had to walk us off like 35 min later

We got stuck on the sun wheel in DCA last time we were there (Oct 2009). We were on one of the cars that swing freely. I was not a happy camper! Not only did it take forever for us to get on the ride (slow loading ride), but I felt kind of sick on it, and THEN we were stuck for over half an hour. And then when we got off, I kind of expected a fastpass for any ride, but instead got one for the sun wheel again. Needless to say, we did not use it!

I've never been stopped on anything more than a few minutes. The longest was Haunted Mansion in WDW this last October. I was stopped right at the beginning of the graveyard for about 8 or 9 minutes.

The only time I was stuck on a ride was on Winnie the Pooh. We had just started the ride and me and DBF were in the front row of the car. We got into the first hallway before the first room and it stopped and they announced that they were going to load everyone off starting from the last car that was about to end the ride to the first car that had just begun the ride. So...we were last. We waited there for about 10 minutes and one of the guys behind us started moaning and saying that he didn't feel good and that he was claustrophobic....:scared1: Oh no...I knew it right then, this wasn't going to end well. After his friend said "You're still feeling sick?" the sick guy started barfing, and he didn't stop for until the CM came to unload us, which was 5 minutes later. Now, I'm pretty sensitive to this kind of stuff, so as soon as I heard him throwing up, I started gagging. Thankfully, I held back and I didn't get sick!! But, I definitely was not feeling so good for the rest of the day. I used to love that ride, but after this experience, I'm not so sure I could go back on it without hurling chunks on everyone

We got stuck on the HM just a few days ago. Of course, we were stopped at the scariest place for my daughter, immediately in front of one of those skeletons that pop up from behind the gravestone every 30 seconds or so :scared1:. She hid in my lap until it started up again about 10 minutes later.

That sounds like a pretty upsetting experience on the monorail. I've only ever been stuck on Test Track in WDW. We were outside on the track where you're supposed to be going 65-70mph and the track is slanted to help you pull Gs. Instead we were going around at about 5mph and then stopped. Unfortunately for me I was on the left side of the car and on the fairly sustancial slant that put me on the bottom with my friend and my sister sliding in to me... I got a little squished!
We were stuck for about 10-15 minutes and then got moving again. The only thing were got for the experience was the chanve to go around again without getting out of the car. We all agreed as it's my family's favourite ride!

Got stuck on Haunted Mansion once got to walk out. It was during Christmas we got stuck in the dining room. It was fun I guess

My families first ride for our first trip to Disneyland and we got stuck! We were on Peter Pan, and I was with my sister and mother in one ship, and my dad and other sister in another after ours. My ship had just moved to the part where the mermaids are when it suddenly stopped. We were seconds away from the end! So we sat there idle for a few minutes before they turned on the lights and the electircals off. Then a worker came over, told us that we couldn't get out because we were too far from the ground (we were like, 2meters but I guess for safety they couldn't) and to sit tight. Then a man came and jumped up on our carriage and took a bolt off or did something and fixed it. It had been our ship that'd stopped the ride!

On our last day at Disney we decided to do PP again seeing as it was our first ride. After enduring a 25minute line we were about four families from the front of the line then it broke down! ARGH. Not 100% sure, but we noticed that there was a rather large person trying to get on the ride after getting through the exit line (cast members had tried to get her in for a good 2-3minutes) when it shut down...maybe not related but just a thought. So that was a bit disapointing. We weren't offered front of line passes either time it broke, not that we were expecting them but it would have been nice, especially as we'd waited so long for the second time it broke down.

Oh and we were on the Haunted Mansion and it stopped for at least 5 minutes. They had a message over the speakers not to worry, sit tight and that the ride would recommence in a few minutes. Once we got off it, they'd closed for the rest of the day! Apparently the speakers weren't working on some of the buggies so that's why.

I have photos from today of people stuck on CS, i will post tomorrow

I got stuck on Buzz Lightyear one year and it was in an area with a bunch of targets so I just kept shooting and racking up the points. It was fun!

This last trip, we were stuck on Indy for about 10 minutes. Right past the fire pit and skull room - a pretty non-eventful corner I'll tell ya. But we had a great car of people and that made it pretty fun! The ride effects were off and the lights were on for about the remainder of the ride, but everyone played along. We pretended to see the rat jump and fall into the car! Right as we turned to the boulder room, all the effects came back on and it was a happy ending. :) The CMs let us stay in the car for a 'freebie' ride so we could experience Indy again w/out disruptions. *yay*

The longest *stuck* was on POTC. We spent about 25 minutes hanging out near Carlos/well and moved on to be stuck about 20 minutes near the gunfight at the end. A nice CM gave us an open Fast Pass for 4, to any FP ride in the park. We saved it and used it on Splash Mountain, since the day was warm and FP's were long since gone and the queue was over 90 minutes. :)
Nice addition to the story: it was just DH and me so when we went to Splash, we looked around for an extra couple to join us. We invited a couple who saw the end of the line and were turning to walk away, and it turns out they were in SoCal for their honeymoon and were spending the day in DL! They'd never been in the park before and never on Splash, so DH bought them a large photo of them (with us in the back) shooting down the flume for a honeymoon prezzie! :goodvibes

The Dobies got stuck on Soarin' the first time we ever rode it, in 2002...we we left hanging there for the longest time. . .one of the Dobies was traumatized and refused to ride it for years after. . .we had to do an intervention...

I love the ride, but its one of my biggest fears. How long were they stuck there for?? And where were they stuck? Yuck!!

About two and a half years ago, my family and I were stuck on Splash Mountain in WDW right at the top of the big drop. We were there for a good 45 minutes before anyone came and said anything to us... It was really bad. When we went through the secret back doors, we saw fire trucks and everything with their lights going off. We got a free fastpass though!

And in Sept, at DL, we were stuck on Roger Rabbit. We had three CMs walk right past our cart 15-20 minutes after the breakdown and told us to wait. We waited another 20 minutes before someone came and got us, even though we were right at the beginning of the ride. No fastpasses there.

All the neon paint though, in that ride... CRAZY!
