stuck on a ride

Last summer we got stuck in Indiana Jones where Indy is hanging on a vine right before the Jeep drops under the rolling boulder. It was strange to see the boulder spinning continuously in place, the lights were on behind it and you could see the work room area backstage. I think we were there for about 45 minutes before the CM came with a step ladder and everyone was walked off.

Nice addition to the story: it was just DH and me so when we went to Splash, we looked around for an extra couple to join us. We invited a couple who saw the end of the line and were turning to walk away, and it turns out they were in SoCal for their honeymoon and were spending the day in DL! They'd never been in the park before and never on Splash, so DH bought them a large photo of them (with us in the back) shooting down the flume for a honeymoon prezzie! :goodvibes

What a wonderful thing to do! Pixie dust to you! pixiedust:

got stuck on the Peoplemover over the Autopia area, we had to walk out. took some picture, but have not been able to find them.

on the Pirates of the Carribean, we got stuck for about 10 minutes in front of Johnny Depp popping up from a barrel.

in the reverse situation, I walked up to the Monorail at Tomorrowland and was told there was a mechanical problem and that I could exit or wait, but they did not know how long it would take. I wasn't in a hurry and the weather was good so I stayed. over maybe 15-20 minutes most of the other people left the platform. when they resumed operation there were only about 5-6 people ready to board and I was the only person that asked to ride in front so I got a solo ride with the driver to Downtown Disney.

I got stuck in the Carousel of Progress listening to that damn song this past December. Thanks GOd they got us out after only hearing it play a few times!

We were stuck on Indy this last summer for about 45mins. It was on the bridge which is not to bad. They waited for about 15 mins before they turned the lights on. Usually I don't try to get any shots on this ride but after a while I got my camera out to take some shots.

POTC--but we just sat in the area below the glowing timbers for about 25 minutes before the ride resumed. I took a little nap. It was air conditioned, I was sleepy. It worked out well.

The only other ride mishap that comes to mind was at WDW with the Rockin'rollar coaster. The "limo" in front of ours was delayed due to problems with seating a guest, so when ours took off...there was no soundtrack, and the lights were on. Totally different experience. Several of the people on our limo told the CM who let us all go again.

Much cooler with the music!

In 40 some trips to DL I have never been stuck on any ride. Really never I just called & asked my Mom if it had ever happened when I was little that I might not remember and not once.

Really not at all?

You never been on HM or the old people mover when they came to a stop?

To date I have been stuck on:

Mr. Toad's in the area next to the fountain, and I got walked out through the warm place inhabited by happy creatures with pitchforks

Haunted Mansion repeatedly (never walked off, they just get it moving again)

Space Mountain (They turned the lights on and it was awesome and then we got to go again)

Pirates of the Caribbean (On the up waterfall for 15 min before they got it moving)

Indiana Jones (They just deal with it by pretending your car stalls .. for 5 min)

The only ride I NEVER want to get stuck on is Splash Mountain. That terrifies me. To date my best friend has been stuck on that one four times... including at the top
