Stubborn Peacock

We went to pay a friend a visit today and this peacock trotted across our path… decided that he didn’t like us, so he sat in the middle of the road and fanned his tail feathers at us! We were stuck there for like 10 minutes!

That's funny- we had a peacock on the fence in our yard the other day. Everybody said I was nuts and that it was probably a wild turkey until they actually came to look out the window with me. And it flew away. I guess I'm stupid but I had no idea that peacocks could fly.

Where my sister lives they are overrun with peacocks! Almost every time you go anywhere, you have to wait for them to get out of the road. I have seen them fly many times.

OK, this is beyond funny. Same damned peacock, took a disliking to my dog. Honked at him, so of course he went bonkers and almost escaped my grip! It strutted off all swank-ey-like, leaving me with an infuriated dog and a crowd of people in hysterics.

We had many peacocks where I grew up, they are a major nuisance. Very loud and they are so heavy the break stuff when they sit on it

When I used to have to drive around to various clinics for work, one stop was a nursing home with TONS of peacocks. The home was right near a pond, and surrounded by hedges and bushes galore. When trying to drive out, these peacocks were all over the driveway, not a care in the world. They would just as much poop in the road in front of you before bothering to acknowledge you were even there.

Someone in my village has a white rhea. Very noisy and aggressive. My golden retriever does not quite know what to make of it. It makes the same call as a peacock.

Apparently this one gets into arguments with the local Welsh greenskeeper....
