Strongest smelling candles?????What's your opinion?

I think some Yankee Candles must be duds! The three you just mentioned are some of my stronger scented ones! Like I mentioned a few posts back, I'm not impressed at all with the scent strength of White Chocolate Mint at all.

I have some YC jar candles that are so strong I can only burn them for a little while before I have to blow it out because it's just too overwhelming!

Longaberger has great candles. My favorite is apple. The jar they come in is nice also. Nothing elaborate but it has a basket weave design in the glass jar.

In my opinion Circle E beats Yankee Candles every time.

Remember that how you burn the candle is just as important as what kind of candle you use.

If your wick is too tall and your flame too big, you will get less scent. Always trim your wick to about 1/4-1/3 inch. When the scent releases from the melting wax, the flame will burn it and you will not smell it. The smaller the flame, the more scent that will escape.

Same thing goes for the wax pool that is created. The larger the pool of wax, the more scent that will escape. So wide neck jars and tart warmers will produce more scent than the small 4 oz jars and votive cups.

A lot of people use soot stoppers, those will reduce the amount of scent that is release by causing the scent to be burned by the flame as it escapes the candle since it's being directed into a smaller area.

So for the most scent for your buck, go with a tart warmer. It has a nice sized wax pool and there is no direct flame to burn off any of the scent as it escapes.

Oh and she said if you want an obnoxiously strong candle - get a Trapp candle. They put an entire bottle of perfume in each candle.

Obi-Wan, I second the tart warmer. I have found that if I burn a regular candle in my kitchen, you can't smell it in my bedroom (one level home). BUT, if I have a tart burning you can smell it everywhere. I love them!!
