We are planning a trip for September and this will be my first time going with a baby. My son just turned 1 in February. I have a Chicco Echo, it has a small basket and one cup holder on it and lays almost completely flat. Do you think this is a good stroller for the parks? It will be me, my husband, my son and my parents. I'll probably wear a crossbody purse and we'll take a small diaper bag or backpack and maybe a bag of snacks and a reusable water bottle for all of us. What do you think?

Yes but my biggest issue would be it's lack of a sunshade. We have always preferred a full canopy (like the ones the citi mini has). The one and only time we travelled with our Maclaren my children were uncomfortable with the sun in their eyes. But my boys napped in their stroller during our visits.

That's another thing I meant to ask about! We were walking at the park today and it doesn't offer a lot of shade. So you think it's worth it to spend the money to rent one even of we are driving and can bring ours?

We're going to be renting even though we own a double jogger (Schwinn, not as nice as a City Mini or BOB but we like it!). Our double jogger leaves zero room in the back of our van even when folded. Space even when we're driving is tight!

A shade is a big deal in Disney! It will be great when he is napping, watching afternoon parades, or even just walking in a sunny park!

Thanks for y'alls help! My husband is gonna roll his eyes I'm sure. But I agree I think it will take up space. It will be all 5 of us driving down. That's a lot of stuff not counting a stroller.

We love renting from kingdom strollers. Then we don't have to hall it down and have a great stroller for the trip.

Check out apple scooters (just google it). They offer citi mini rentals for the cheapest that we have found by far. We have used them twice and will use them for a third time in August. They are wdw authorized to deliver and pick up with Disney.

I saw the apple scooter online last night. We might actually do that because I think my dad will also need a scooter. He has a bad knee and I don't think he will be able to walk all the time.

I would bring the stroller you already have rather than renting one, especially if you're driving. If your main concern is sun protection, you can buy a stroller sunshade off Amazon for much less than the cost of renting a stroller.

I second the comments about Kingdom Strollers. It was so easy and our kids were comfortable. I am still trying to find a cheap used city mini so I can use that same sort of stroller in the real world.

Sometimes it is just more convenient to rent even when you have a stroller at home. I rented for our first trip because I was taking my son's carseat on the plane and could not carry that and the stroller and him. I travel alone with my 2 children.

The next 2 times we flew my daughter pushed the stroller until we checked the luggage, but this time even though I have a city mini, I'm renting because my daughter will have her own luggage to carry and it will be better to have my son walk in the airport. This way we can also more easily use park and ride at the airport instead of terminal parking. Park and ride is half the price at our airport...$48 instead of $96. Plus I can preserve mine from going through gate checking. It is starting to show a bit of wear.

I think your chicco ecco will be fine as long as it reclines fully for naps, but I will get a stroller shade like the summer infant RayShade.
We took our umbrella stroller last year an got one of those shades and it was perfect, we also added a little stroller cooler bag which kept it from tipping and held fresh drinks for the whole day.

In my opinion a bigger stroller is a hassle even if you rent unless you are staying on the monorail. You have to fold the strollers for getting into the buses, boats and even the parking lot trams and they take too much space on the trunk!

Thanks for all yalls help! I had found a city mini brand new for $70 but bought the chicco instead because it would fit in my trunk. Oh well. It might just come down To packing the car when we leave and seeing how much room we have. I'll look into the sunshades online. Thanks again!

This is the 3rd time in the last year that we've used Magic Strollers to rent a double Mini Stroller for our twin grandsons. We're here (WDW) and we've rented the double Citi once again for our grandsons (now 3 1/2) and it's perfect. I'll try to take a pic sometime this week to show you how they fit (they're good sized boys).

The stroller is like brand new and our grandsons love it. They love that they can pull the shade cover to keep the sun out of their faces. Honestly, that's a huge bonus, the canopy is huge and really keeps the sun off of tender faces.
