We will be bringing our 3 year old nephew with us in May. We would like to purchase a stroller to take for days when he doesn't want to be a "big boy" and walk. Could someone please suggest a good stroller that is reasonably priced?

We also have a 7 month old grandson so we won't be just using the stroller for this one trip.

My DD's Disney stroller for several years now has been a Mac Volo - not super cheap but well worth it's price for me.

If you aren't 100% that your nephew will want to use a stroller you could wait until you get there before purchasing one. They sell and red and black Kolocraft stroller - Seen Here at several DTD stores, at the resorts and in the parks for around $45-50. I believe that price is what it is outside of WDW as well so it isn't like it is a $25 stroller being marked up by $20. We bought one about four years ago and it still worked great until we got rid of it once the youngest got too big for it.

Your link isn't working for me?? But I saw a red & black stroller at the POP ?shop? But yes a 3 year old will need a stroller at WDW.

Not sure why the link didn't work but if you Google "Kolocraft Tour Sport Reclining Umbrella Stroller" you'll see it. It really was a great little stroller. My only complaint, and one that I had for all reasonably priced umbrella strollers, is that the handles were a little low for me & DH. We are both tall (I'm 5'10" and DH is 6'2") so we both had to hunch over a little while pushing the stroller or use our fingertips to steer. But, like I said, that seems to be an issue with most umbrella strollers.

Another vote for Maclaren Volo. Bought 2 - 1 for each of my daughters for our first trip in 2008 when they were 3 and 5 and we've used them for every trip since then. They're light, fold up easily and are comfortable to push.

Graco Ipo...seen here. We bought this stroller for our son to use when he was with my parents and the needed a stroller. We used it on our trip back in 2008 when DS was 14 months old and it was awesome! He still uses it now (and he's 3)...especially when we are in crowded places (mall, theme park, zoo, etc) as he gets nervous walking amongest lots of tall people (aka grown ups, lol) and is more comfortable riding in his stroller (plus, it saves us from having to carry him all over the place).

At Babies R Us, it'll run you around $90-$100 (well worth it though if you are planning on using it with the 7 month old). And, looking at Target.com, it is on sale right now for $80. PLUS, I've also seen it IN store at Target. So you might want to look there as well.

It's a fabulous stroller...a cup holder for the parent, a basket underneath for a few things, as well as a storage pocket for small items (we used to put diapers/wipes in it for DS before he was potty trained rather than dragging the daiper bag in for a quick stop at the mall or wherever). Height-wise it's fantastic as well. DH is about 6 foot tall and doesn't have to stoop to push it (as with cheaper umbrella strollers) and I am about 5'5" and can push it comfortably as well. It folds just like an umbrella stroller as well, so it's got the sturdiness of a full sized stroller but the compactedness of an umbrella stroller.

One other place you might look for it cheaper is Burlington Coat Factory (we needed a compact full sized stroller when DS was an infant. Graco had come out with the Mosaic (nearly identical to the Ipo, the only difference was the lap bar so that we could attach his carseat, and we ended up finding it (and the infant seat) at Burlington for about $50 less than it would have been to buy elsewhere).

Hope this helps! Good luck!

We just bought a Britax Blink, which is very similar to the Macs, for $75 on albeebaby.com It's so inexpensive because it's being phased out and replaced by another high end stroller by Britax. The original retail price on it was $150.

It's a great stroller!

The First years Jet stroller comes in many colors and is around $40. It has a basket underneath and a parent organizer. The back is high enough for taller kids and reclines a bit. the handles are tall which makes it easy to walk with. I had originally bought the cosco umbria stroller and when I got home my dd2.5 was too tall for it already :sad1: so I knew in 7 months 1 week and 6 days :rotfl: she would be way to big. If you can get to the store and try some out then do that they bargain hunt online :)

I hear ya ~ most cheaper umbrella strollers are teeny *they look like they're made for children to use as a play stroller for strolling their dollies or stuffies. I'm not quite 5'6" and most are too short for me, I'm hunched over and kicking the wheels. The Mac Volo has tall handles.

We purchased this one without the car seat back in November 2008. We used it for our daughter who at the time was only 8 months old. It worked out great. Our daughter is now almost 3 and it still works great for her. She is VERY tall for her age so we're happy this one still works well. We actually gave it to my mother for her to use when she's watching her since we have two children now and often are using our double stroller anyway. I think we paid about $60 for it. Another great thing about it was it actually has a bug next built into the hood so it's easy to pull down and hook to the tray if need be. It fully reclines for those naps you weren't expecting also. I will say though it is a pretty common stroller so you will definitely want to tie something to it so you know it's yours when it's parked outside the rides. :)
