Strollers that were band from parks

We went to MK Saturday and I saw a couple of people with the wagon type push strollers and one soft sided wagon. I thought these were band from the parks. Did something change? I'm glad they did not have to make the long walk back to where they came from but I was confused

I’ve seen a few of the soft sided collapsible wagons in my last few visits too. I’ve wondered the same thing. I think they have a type that converts to a stroller. Maybe that’s what we are seeing

You should notice a red “stroller as wheelchair” tag somewhere on it signifying a medical exemption. At least that’s how it was done at Disneyland when they were still open.

You are probably right, I did not think of that.
But vape is band but I see people with those too...
But those are easily put in a bag vs a wagon

What's with the ban on stroller wagons? I understand if it's larger than the size requirements, but if it's within and pushes like a stroller why ban them? Almost purchased one for our trip as it would have worked great for my two youngest, but luckily saw the restriction before purchase.

Generally they are not within the size restrictions.
Even if it pushes its often difficult to see around it to avoid bumping into people.

Baby Trend and several others have stroller wagons that push like a stroller and are easily within the 52"x31" restriction. Really just seems like an overreaction, the size restriction should be all that is needed.

Well they aren't going to change their mind because you found a couple in the size requirement...
They have the right to ban whatever they want with whateer exceptions they want.

I believe WDW's main issue with the stroller-wagon is a safety concern about the canopy blocking sightlines for both the user and others moving around the park. Most standard stroller canopies are considerably smaller. The other issues may be related to people pulling rather than pushing, and using it to cart stuff instead of kids. The stroller wagons may be granted an exception for use for those with disabilities and a stroller-as-wheelchair tag would be attached; though my understanding is there must be a specific need for the wagon -- such as medical equipment that doesn't fit in a stroller.

it may also just be easier to say no wagons instead of saying no wagons except if they push like a stroller, are this size, don’t have this, do have this, etc. it’s much easier and clearer just to have a rule of no wagons.

I disagree. Size restrictions including canopy height should be sufficient. Too bad Disney no long allows the stroller wagon. They are very convenient for parents and comfortable for children.

While they are both banned, people will sneak in vapes all the time and not all CMs are good at confronting guests with the wagon-strollers.

Our “wonder wagon” is smaller than a double stroller and just above waist high. The total ban is absurd. IMO
