If you've taken a stroller on a Disney cruise, did you leave it with the porters w/the rest of your luggage or carry it on?

DS will only nap in his stroller - great for Disney World, not so much for a cruise.

Ideally, I would like to leave it with the porters (in one of those airplane bags), but I just wanted to check to see if anyone has had any bad experience with that or if it got really banged up.

Thanks!

Don't check it. Definitely carry it on if you care about it at all. I use the stroller to hold our bags during the check in process, which can be long sometimes. I put the littlest kid in the ergo or sling.

We took the stroller on with us with DS riding in it. We didn't use it at all on the actual cruise, though, just to take DS on the ship the first day and off the ship the last day.

Its your choice. If you have a young one and you dont think he can make it till you get your stuff by all means take it with you.. The amount of time it takes to get your luggage depends on if you do a 3 day 4 day or 7 day cruise.. There is way more luggage being checked in on a 7 day cruise so it may take an hour or so longer than usual but definitely before 5pm. As far as luggage being dropped in the water one of the disney employees said its very rare and maybe one bag a year falls into the water but they quickly retrieve them and they have solved this by having nets that connect from the dock to the ship.

So no worries about packing things in a water tight bag in your suitcase then?
