I read that rental strollers aren't allowed on the MK train ride. Can we take our own folding light weight stroller on the ride?
We're going to have our 16mo. old grandson with us and would like to use the train at times.... Thanks!

As long as your stroller will fold up, you'll be fine. The rentals don't fold which makes them impossible to get on the train. Have a wonderful time!

While the park stroller itself can not go on the train it doesn't mean you can not rent a stoller and still use the train. The WDW Railroad cast members initiated an exchange proceedure about 8-10 years ago where they keep a stock of rental strollers at all the stations, when you board the train you take your personal belongings and the name card from the stroller you have and leave that stroller at the station where you board, when you arrive at the station where you are getting off you would simply pick up another stroller from the station...if you want to bring your own that is fine, you would just have to fold it up to bring it on the train, but the rental exchange is very easy if you don't want to bring yours in.

Yep, and we did this last year and it worked well. It's nice actually to NOT have your own stroller because you don't have to take it on with you. :)

I recently did a visit to MK with a 4 year old. We had our own stroller and quickly learned renting one of the Disney strollers was the better idea. Many will tell you if you bring your own then use the umbrella type.

We had a Graco and it would take three of us to get on transportation. One to get him, one to unload and one to fold and carry. Wont be doing that again. Next time he comes for a visit we will just rent one.
