Do alot of people use strollers on the ship? Not sure If it is even ok to use them . Have 14 month and too heavy to carry and too slow to walk......:)

DCL does allow strollers and they even have a limited supply of them for rental on the ships.

With that said, I don't really ever recall seeing many onboard. Of course, it could be that I wasn't really looking for them.

Many people do bring their strollers onboard....from my observations on 10 DCL cruises.....it seems better to bring the umbrella type as opposed to the full size ones. the elevators are small and will only hold about one stroller at a time. The full size strollers were difficult to turn around in the elevators.

As I said...this is what I observed onboard.

I went with a large family group. My sisters brought strollers but I don't believe they used them except on excurions. They found the distances onboard to not be that bad.

I did see others with strollers. As was mentioned above, the elevantors are on the small side. Also hallways are a bit narrow etc. If you bring one, you will want small and easy to manuever. A full size stroller would be unwieldy.

I saw a few folks with strollers, those who had small umbrella strollers seemed to do OK.

We crusied with our 15 month old and used a full size stroller. We found the larger one to be helpful to carry all of our extra items. It was also a good place for him to nap. We could use the top to block out the sun.

Our twins were 28 months when we went on the Magic. And yes, there are strollers. Our boys were in strollers almost all the time (they tend to run off if they're not strapped in). We also used them a lot on the islands, but well got our use out of them on the ship too. We brought the umbrella type with a sunshade on top.
