Hi All,
In December it will be our 1st trip to Universal & Islands of Adventure.
Are we able to take a stroller thru the parks, leave them safely when we go on rides, and also leave our backpack in the stroller safely when we are on the rides.
Thanks

I think you could leave the stroller without anyone bothering it but I wouldn't leave a backpack alone. Carry just what you need and no more. I always wear cargo shorts so I don't need to carry anything.

I would not leave valuables in a stroller at any of themeparks (Disney included.) A backpack is an invitation as the thief doesn't know whether it has money/expensive camera inside or not. Most likely it would be fine but I certainly wouldn't want to chance it. You can rent a locker for the day at the price of $8-10 or utilize the free lockers provided at the rides that do not allow you to carry on the bag.

I dont know about universal I havent been to one in almost 8 years. I did go to disneyland and took my own stroller. no valubles left in at all. just the kiddie stuff. We took our backpack but it was disney and was able to take it with us on most rides. On the big rides we did the childswap and the back pack stayed with the person with the child.

Now i will take my 2 year old to usorlando and will take my stroller and a child backpack harness i bought at target:banana:

We have always left our bags on the stroller while in WDW - never had any problems.

Granted - we are taking a chance - but the bag only ever has diapers, wipes, snacks and spare clothes - etc - so it would not be the end of the world if it were stolen.

I always felt that it was worth the risk to avoid having to lug it around - and also to avoid having to schlep back to the locker if I wanted something.

I obviously don't leave a lot of valuables in it.

I have seen many others do the same at WDW - I guess it depends on your level or risk tolerance

rather than leave a bag (where as someone said - it 'might' get stolen just because someone might take the chance that there is some good stuff inside) would it be a good idea if we just left DS9mths a change of clothing, nappies and wipes loose underneath the stroller, so that potential theives could see we didn't have any valuables to take?? - I would hope that no one would be mean enough to intentionally 'swipe' a young babies essential stuff would they???:confused3

I have used my own and rented strollers over the years at both sets of parks and left the kids stuff in there (in a backpack) with no problems. Even left popcorn and refillable drink cups in the stroller and no problems.
