Can you go in the monorail with the kid sitting on the stroller or do you have to close it?
I'm planning on going from MK to Epcot while my DD is sleeping her nap, but I can only do it if she is able to stay in her stroller all the time.
I will be doing this during non-peak times (I would guess during park opening or closing times this will not be a good idea)

Thank!!

Baby can stay in stroller on monorail, you have to fold it up on the buses.

Correct, and if one monorail is too crowded, you could wait for the next. We were there in the crowd last week and never closed the dbl stroller on the monorail. :flower:

Lots of people take their stroller onto the H/C accessible car. If a wheelchair needs to board, you will have to fold your stroller. Be mindful of the other guests and close your stroller if the car gets full.

We did back when we brought the stroller with us. What I did was turn the stroller so it was perpendicular to the seats directly in front of me. It freed up a lot of space for people to sit-and stand if need be but the times we went, it was not very crowded and sometimes had only 2 or 3 people in the car with us. Also I had a very small stroller-about the size of an umbrella one but was a regular kind of stroller (if that makes sense!)

I was just wondering if a tandem could easily fit on there. We will be going the first week in May, and it was very low crowds this year when we went so we expect the same next year.

We wheeled our double stroller on with no problem....

Not sure about the side by sides, though.

I have seen side by sides many times. I always notice them becaue it reminds me of my twin nieces and the days when they sat side by side!

I've got a double and I have wheeled it on.

Once though when it was really busy we had to close it but strangely once in September when it was a very empty monorail the CM asked me to close it too. I think that time it was because the CM didn't think it would fit because I wasn't headed to the wheelchair door but my side by side stroller fits in a standard door, thats why I bought it. :confused3

we've had no problem with our tandem on the monorails...but you can't ride in the pilot seat with an unfolded stoller...

and not just people with stollers but everyone can be mindful of other guests....

Side by sides fit in the cars marked inside with the wheelchair icons, since the stroller and wheelchair width are almost identical. Of course, prirority is given to the disabled and double wide strollers if space available.

As others have commented...you may need to wait for the next monorail depending on the crowds and wheelchair users if you do not want to fold-up your stroller. :wave2:

No, priority is given to the wheelchairs. There is no stoller on the handicapped icon. Strollers have no priority over other guests.

CMs frequently relocate individuals from these cars to make room for disabled guest in wheelchairs. Why? Because the wheelchair icons are more than just an icon they represent facilities designated for the disabled under the American's With Disabilities Act and are accompanied with years of case law defining the availability and use of such facilities. Failure to comply in providing disabled oriented services and facilities widens an owners liability.

And it is true there is no priority for strollers as it is clear I missed typed my response made in haste...but guest tend to be more civil on the monorail than during one of the Main Street events.

This brought back the memory of the mother with her son on her lap but her empty stroller parked horizontally against the seat. The whole car is packed but no one could sit in the seats next to her, how she didn't notice everyone standing and the whole car glaring at her I'll never know. :confused3

Disney can be an overwhelming and exhausting place.
