We are making our first trip to Disney World in a few weeks and have read the recommendations on bringing a stroller for our kids DS5, DD4 and DS3. We planned on taking our bike cart that seats two kids next to each other, the nice thing is we can use this to carry luggage at the airport, Disney etc. The only issue is someone warned us that they think these carts are not permitted at the theme parks!

Can anyone clarify this for me?

If it's one that gets pulled behind you then I know it's not allowed.

I haven't seen one of the trailers in the park, but if you can push it in front of you it should be allowed. How wide is it? Will it go through the doorways?

It is a tow behind type. But it comes with the option of wheels that connect to the front bar that attaches to a bike so you can use it for a stroller. This is how we bring the kids to the zoo festivals etc, The problem with the bar is someone could trip over it.:woohoo:

Hi,
If it has a bar sticking out in the front, I do not
think they will allow it. Plus if you are riding any
buses it has to fold down. Does this stroller fold
down? Good luck.

From what you are describing, I'm picturing the Chariot brand of carrier. I think you would be allowed in the parks with the push bar attached (so you push in front of you instead of pulling) and a front wheel attached in the place of the bike hook-up bar.

Unless it collapses, I don't think you will get on the busses though, and some of the boats won't let you on either. Even if it doesn't collapse, you should be able to push it onto the monorail -- I've seen these around my neighbourhood and when they are "stoller mode" they aren't much bigger than my side-by-side double.

From the Disney Website:

Q. Are there any personal items I should not bring with me into the Theme Parks?

A. Items that you may not bring into the Theme Parks include, but are not limited to:

Items with wheels, such as wagons, skateboards, scooters, inline skates, shoes with built-in wheels, two-wheeled or three-wheeled conveyances, strollers larger than 36" x 52", suitcases, coolers, or backpacks with or without wheels larger than 24" long x 15" wide x 18" high (coolers required for medication may be stored in a locker or at Guest Relations), and any trailer-like object that is pushed or towed by an ECV wheelchair or stroller
Alcoholic beverages
Weapons of any kind
Folding chairs

I've seen a few bike trailers in stroller mode pushed around the parks the lack of sun coverage and personal space concerned me, but the parents trying to manuver them in stores bothered them.

We have one of these and while my kids 4 & nearly 2 tolerate it well for bike rides they wouldn't for hours in WDW, there's no recline to the seats and even they need their own space.

We took our Schwinn PR150 in March.
MK was the only park that we had trouble getting it through the gate. In the morning we lifted it over, at night if the kids were sleeping we popped a wheel off and pushed them through holding it up by the handle.

Ours does not have the bar sticking out the front, our front wheel attaches directly into the base (the bar swivels and latches underneath)

Only concern would be the trip hazard it may cause at night and that it is within the 52" length limit.
