Hi there,

We are thinking of doing atlantis and staying at comfort suites (to actually stay there, not on a cruise, but thought this forum might have people who know). We are wondering if Atlantis is stroller friendly? I know there is a lot of walking around involved, is it paved pathways or interlock that is not good with a stroller? Also, is it safe that we could leave our stroller somewhere, go swimming, and have it still there when we get back?

Thanks!

No, the Atlantis is not stroller friendly. Our first cruise we booked a room at the Atlantis. We brought our double stroller for our twins, who were 3 years old at the time. We had a room in the beach tower, getting from the room to the pools was tough. We had to unload the kids at least once and lug the stroller down stairs. It was much easier to unload/load them than try and find an elevator to get down to the pool level.

The next cruise, we got a room at the CS. My kids were 5 this trip and we went without the stroller. The taxi dropped off DW and the kids at the Atlantis and me at the CS. I checked in and out at the same time and picked up the wristbands and walked over.

Not having the stroller was much better. The issue is getting from the front door to the pool level. You have to go through the casino and shopping areas. There maybe a better way, but I never found it and we asked.
Once at the pools, it is very stroller friendly.

I didn't worry about the theft of the stroller. It seemed like a safe place. I did rent a locker for my wallet.

Atlantis is stroller accessible, but not super-friendly, especially if it's your first visit.

If you get very familiar with the property, you can easily find the lifts/elevators, and they're not that far out of the way, but you have to know where you are going.

On your other question, though it might be moot given the advice here: yes, it's safe to park a stroller and come back to it. By the kids pools, strollers are everywhere. The biggest risk to it is rain or being blown over by a strong breeze.
