Hi everyone. I have a problem and I know I will get some great advice here! I am going to disney in May with my DH, DS age 6, DS age 4, and DD age 21 months. Anyway, what should I do about a stroller? I was thinking about renting a double and then bringing an umbrella for my 6 year old, who tires very easily! Maybe there is one that folds up and I could put it under the double stroller? I am thinking will this be hard since then my husband and I will have to each push strollers, but then again we get to rides much quicker if we do that, again my 6 year old is very slow! Not sure if anyone out there has gone with 3 kids who need a stroller, what have you done? Any advice will be GREATLY appreciated! Thanks so much!

Make sure if you want either of the younger two to nap in the stroller, you bring one from home. The one's in the park are hard plastic and don't recline so it would be challenging to get any real rest in one. It was a total pain to haul around our jogger getting to the parks, but when my son slept during the day, it was totally worth it.

The ages of my girls were similar a few trips back and we brought youngest dd's stroller and rented the double for the older two, this way she had something comfy to nap and rest in that lies flat and we new she liked it and would not throw a fit to sit in it. And I also like the sun coverage we get on our stroller better than the disney one! Have a great trip:goodvibes
Also we both pushed a stroller and it was nice when it was busy we made everybody get in and we did lose anyone in the crowd!

This is exactly what we do for our 3 kids. Rent a double from Magic Stollers and then bring an umbrella from home. (The umbrella is actually the Kohlcraft that Disney sells. Purchased from the BW 3 years ago when we left ours at the airport).

You get lots of differing opionions on older kids and strollers, but my DS is a slow walker with no endurance in the heat so it is nice for him to ride occasionally. Also nice to have another under-stroler bin to stash our stuff;)

My kids will be 6.5, barely 4 and 24 months when we go. My 6 year old will crash with no warning. When he's done- he's done! I am planning on bringing my sit n' stand. My little guy gets the seat in the front, and my older 2 stand (or sit) on the back together. It's a bit cramped for the older 2- but they have done it before- and if they are tired- they'll do it again. I also figure that the older 2 can take turns sitting on the back. If absolute worse comes to worse, and they are all melting down on the way back to the resort- we will carry the 24 month old and the older 2 can take the stroller.

This is exactly what we did when our kids were this age. My kids never nap in strollers after age 3 anyways so the fact that the disney strollers don't recline don't bother us. We make sure they have hats and sunglasses (and sunblock on their arms and legs) since the shade isn't great. It worked out perfectly for us. The boys can walk or just jump in if they need too. Didn't bother us having two strollers to push as we have an older son that helps out or we we sometimes would park the double to walk from ride to ride within the same area (like we'd leave it at IASW and do Fantasyland and then pick it up before moving on to the next land). I am happy to say my boys were able to go stroller free last trip though  Antoher plus to for the rentals for big kids...amazingly easy to push. I hated the sit and stand and my double stroller (for the parks) once my oldest was over age 3. Just too darn heavy and awkward to push.

What I did-

One trip I just had 2 kids (third was cooking) so we brought 2 strollers, one umbrella & one mid-sized. It worked out great since we each pushed & a few times my dad pushed.

Then our trip in 2008, we had 3 kids & in 2006 I bought a Joovy purposely to take to Disney on our next trip.

So that is all we brought with us for 3 kids. I had my youngest who was about 2 ½ in the front, and my almost 5 year old & my 7½ took turns sitting & standing in the back.

Yes we were over the weight limit & yes the stroller got harder to push as the week went on but it worked for us.

And yes that stroller started to see its life ending after that trip but I used it alot so the $150 I spent on it was well worth it. I know Joovy's are more expensive now so that might not be an option.

We also looked at that thing that the older kid could stand on behind the stroller but it didn't look very comfortable for us to have to push around it.

Love my sit n stand, but its not for everyone! It does recline a bit, enough that a child napping could be comfy. My 7 and 4.5 yr old took turns and at the end of our first day in Epcot it resulted in me with the baby and the to older ones in the stroller with DH pushing. This way we could take it all the way to our room and not leave it at the park like u do with renting. Some of those parking lots are huge and exhusting on thier own!

I have the Joovy Caboose and it was way better then the fisher price one I had bought 3 yrs ago.
