Stroller when flying?

I want to bring our own jogger stroller to WDW with us, however I will need it in the airport, so how does this work? Last time we flew with a stroller was about 8 years ago and we had a little umbrella stroller that we checked at the gate and they returned it to us as soon as the plane landed. Would this work the same way with a large umbrella stroller? Am I better off just using an umbrella stroller and renting a jogger at WDW?

yes it will work the same, you will get a stroller tag at the check in counter then just before you board the plane (end of the jetway) they will ask you to fold stroller and leave it to the side. When you arrive you wait just outside of the plane at the same place and they will bring stroller to you.

Thank you very much!! Our oldest is 10 so having a little one again is all new to us.... ;)

Glad you posted this.......we happen to be flying American Airlines :( Guess an umbrella is our only option then rent once we get to WDW.

It's always a good idea to read your airline's policies before flying.

You can still check an over 20 pound stroller on AA, you just can't check it at the gate. It must be checked in at the ticket counter.
