Hello all, so we have our DD (2.5) first trip to the World in September and couldn't be more excited! I'm back and forth when it comes to strollers because she's at that age where she loves to walk and run but then she does want me to carry her quite a bit. I saw this urbini stroller which advertises as the world's lightest stroller coming in right under 7lbs which to me is pretty light. I thought this would be a good option as if I needed it and she got tired or if she didn't it wouldn't be that taxing to carry around. I wanted to see if anyone here has used it and had some good things to say:) TIA

No experience with that particular stroller but at 2.5 I would be shocked if she didn't need to ride a good bit.
Most of the time you are talking about walking 3-7 miles a day at the parks which most kids under 4/5 just can't handle, plus they make great nap spots. :)

No experience with that stroller. But when my kid isn't using a stroller, I don't fold it and carry it, I just keep pushing it empty (or, really with all the junk we have like extra changes of clothes in the bottom).

Light is good, but my main criteria for strollers are easy to push/steer and a big canopy to keep the sun off my kid as much as possible. I also consider how easy the stroller is to fold up (a standing fold is a bonus because it makes it easier to store the stroller in hotel rooms and a small footprint when folded is a bonus on disney buses and in the trunk of a car)and how much stuff will fit in the bottom. Since I almost never carry a stroller for any distance I consider those factors more important than being super light.

To the extent you will be carrying a stroller for long distances, I would suggest finding one with a shoulder strap or rigging a shoulder strap somehow as that does make a stroller easier to carry.

The baby bargains stroller forum is pretty helpful and knowledgable about strollers so that might be a good resource.

I agree that she will probably be in it more than you think. At 2.5 my guy was super active and hated any stroller of any kind. We went to disney at that point, and he spent 85-90% of our walking time in the stroller. He was quite intimidated with all the people walking around him. I expect he'll spend a lot of time in the stroller this round too, at 4.5.

I don't know much about that stroller either. I pushed my deluxe umbrella stroller around (or parked it in a central area and walked to the nearby attractions) without him in it.
