We are taking our first trip to Disney World this June with our 3 kids, ages 5, almost 3, and 1. We can't wait!!:) We will be bringing our own fold up stroller for the youngest because it has a hood and reclines so that he can still take naps. My 2 year old still uses an umbrella stroller occasionally so I am wondering whether to bring that or rent a double stroller for both the 2 and 5 year old. I've also thought of buying the 5 year old his own umbrella stroller but then we would be bringing 3 carriages onto the bus every day which seems like alot. I should mention that he is horrified at the thought of sitting in a stoller although I think he'll thank us once he sees how much walking is involved! How much is it to rent a double stroller? And how does that work if you switch parks during the day? Do you recommend the 5 year old have a stroller for each of the 4 parks? I really don't want to spend a fortune on this. Thanks so much for any advice!

I think the doudle stroller rental for the 2 kids would be your safest best. I'd bet that after the first day (or less) of walking he'll be more than happy to be pushed around in a stroller. If the long walking doesn't get him, the heat will. Rather than being horrified, he might just become spoiled for strollers. Whenever we go to WDW, my now 7 yr old, wonders if we can still get him a stroller. If they had bigger ones I'd bet my dh would get himself one too. I think double strollers cost about 8.00 per day. If you park hop, just show your receipt to the attendant at the new park and they'll give you one for free. same goes for locker rentals.
Have a great time.

We were there in March and double strollers are now $15.00 per day but to us they were well worth it. We had three girls, ages 3, 5, & 6 and at times all three rode in the stroller. In our case, the girls liked the strollers at MK, EPCOT & AK better than the double umbrella type at MGM. It may have been that they were less "stroller-like."
