Stroller Rental

Well, it's been forever since our kids were small enough to need strollers, but now I have my first grandbaby, and we will be leaving for WDW in less than 2 weeks!

Can anyone tell me how much stroller rental costs now? and if we leave the park for naps, do we have to rent all over again when we return the same day?

Thanks for any help.........

Ruthie,
Strollers are about $7 per day.
When I went in May with my neice and nephew we thought we would try without a stroller because there were 12 of us and someone would always be carrying Danny. That didn't work!
We went to the local Walmart down US-192 and picked up two umbrella strollers for $10.99 each. Danny did nap in it one day so it is comfortable to the kids, we would be screaming with back aches. Then if you don't want to drag the stroller back home you can leave it in the room or give it to another family that is checking in when you check out.
The budget board does have a stroller that someone bought and everyone takes turns using but I am not sure if it is taken for the time you will be down there.
Hope you have fun, and have lots of suprise pins released while you are there. Peggie

The nice thing about rentals at WDW is that as long as you keep the receipt, you only rent once per day. You can return the stroller at one park, and then get another the same day at another park without paying more. When you're done for the day, you turn in your receipt and they give you Disney Dollar. :)

It's just great to take your grandchildre to WDW... We took out grandson when he was 2 and it was easier to bring your own stroller... this way they can sleep.. the rental are only for older children and not to comfy to sleep in..

the have baby care centers all over the parks and are just great ...

Have a great time with the baby and enjoy every minute

Why wouldn't you bring your own stroller?

We still drag ours along. Meri, even at age 8, gets pooped sooner or later. And when she's not riding, the backpack gets a seat. ;)

Won't you need your stroller outside the park? At the resorts? In DTD? Just walking from the monorail/bus/car to the front gate?

We once forgot our stroller at home. On our requisite first stop at Walmart, we picked one up for $10-$12.

Posted this late last night, and actually thought I was posting on the parks board, not our board--but who better to give me advice than all my pin friends!

Robyn, dearest, not sure we wanted to pack/drag around our full-size stroller. Think we'll get a cheap umbrella, and someone is going to lend us a "backpack" too, but that will have to be Sara--I couldn't carry the kids on my back when I was young let alone now!!:p

For us, we didn't take the stroller because it wouldn't fit in the trunk of our car (we have a small car) with the other stuff we had to carry along. When we went to DTD, we went after naps and were ready to carry children when it came to it.

If you guys think a stroller is hard to lug, try a wheelchair!! Rachel's wheelchair (which we always bring on a trip that would require a lot of walking...for Disney it's a must) is huge. I'm glad we have a big one though, because Sarah (age 4) can actually fit into it with her, thus eliminating the need for a stroller. But it only folds up so much, and we have had a really hard time getting it into even the rented minivan sometimes!

One extra plus...if Rachel is not using it, my eleven year old is only too happy to plop himself into it after walking everywhere at Disney. We have to kick him out of it all the time!!
