Disney newbie here, so excuse any dumb questions please!

Can you rent a stroller at Disney World? If yes, do you rent one at each park, or thru the hotel? Or do you rent from a completely different company and somehow pick it up/have it delivered to your hotel?

My kiddos will be 3 and almost 5 when we make our first trip to WDW in March. They have never really been stroller kids (always wore them), but am thinking that a stroller might be helpful with the size of the parks. I was thinking a sit-and-stand type would be best, that way it could accomodate both kids if needed.

Thanks for any info!

I've worn my daughter and now my baby, so we don't even have a stroller. Last trip we rented a double from magicstrollers.com and it was great! I would never go to disney with young kids without a stroller...it's too much walking, even I get tired and we do quite a bit of walking at home. It's easier then having a kid not wanting to walk due to being tired. I would not rent from the parks, they're not padded, don't recline and the back only comes up halfway up the kids back. Somewhere here when I was looking into this posted a pic of their kid in one and they look really crappy and uncomfy.

Last year we used Orlando Strollers from the top of the page and it was great. They dropped off and picked the stroller from Bell Services at CR. It was clean and in good repair. We don't want to rent in the parks because we need the stroller the most at the end of the day going back to the resort when DD is the most tired. Plus I don't want to waste any time waiting in line. We find it a pain to fly with strollers now a day so it's just easier for us to rent. We get the insurance but we've never had any problem "losing" our stroller.

Ditto. Perfect experience with that company and would use them again. Tip: We tied a ribbon on the handle of our stroller to help pick it out of all the identical ones on the stroller parking areas.

Our kids stayed pretty happy and meltdown free during our week at WDW, and I'm sure a large part of that was thanks to the stroller!

We have used Magic Stroller rental for the last 3 years and had only good experiences. I've priced rentals from 2 or 3 different rental companies and Magic has always the best price.

we have rented from Orlando Strollers To Go . com 4 times. We love their strollers, they deliver the stroller to your resort before you check in and you leave it there when you check out. as simple as it gets! :thumbsup2

Great tips! I'm checking the stroller rental out so I don't have to use the top loader on the van.

Taking our 4 yo twins for the first time in October & was really concerned about the stroller thing until I checked out the Magic Strollers site - MAJOR RELIEF to find that the strollers they rent out are the Baby Jogger City Minis because that is the stroller we have been using the last 3 years. It is the BEST STROLLER EVER!! Very comfortable, awesome sun shades, folds up easily & is the lightest double stroller out there. The basket underneath is not very large so if you rent this bring a large "Mommy Clip" to hang backpack, cooler and other stuff from. You will NOT regret renting this stroller!

We are going to rent through Orlando Stroller Rentals as well. They seem to have the best reputation. I would not rent through Disney for 3 major factors -
1) I have heard that the strollers are not padded at all - how uncomfortable for the little ones~
2)because of the fact that it is so much more expensive to rent through Disney itself
and
3) because even if you do rent through Disney you cant take the stroller back to your hotel - who wants to carry/force a kid walk (no matter how old) back to the hotel after walking all the way through Disney!?

Thanks for all of the information! We have decided to go ahead and rent a stroller (probably thru Magic Strollers since they seem to have the best rates). After reading this board and talking to some friends it looks like our kiddos will probably enjoy the break from walking! Our 4 1/2 year old is also a runner, so this will keep him close to us!

Before you make a reservation anywhere, check into Baby Wheels of Orlando. That's who I have my reservation through for the week after next. Its the same stroller all the other companies use but she offer all kinds of cool attactments and stuff for FREE!! :goodvibes

I'm renting a double for 6 nights with insurance for $90.

That is the best stroller I have EVER used!

Glad to hear the great reviews on Magic Strollers. I just booked a stroller with them earlier this week for our Feb 4th-11th trip with our 3 y/o GS. They seemed to have the best rates and really nice strollers We're paying $83.58 for the eight days and that includes the optional $25.00 insurance. They also include a free raincover and parent console and she told me that since our last name is so common, I might want to put something else on the name tag. I went with my grandson's first name, so it'll say 'Levi's Buggy', she also let me pick the color I wanted. They have orange, red, black and green. I went with green thinking there'd be fewer of them in the parks.

One question: What's a Mommy's clip?:confused3

:thumbsup2A mommy clip is a wonderful little inexpensive tool. Its a big "c" clip type thing that you hang on the handle. You hang your bags and things from it. You can get them at babies r us, target, anywhere I think. Haven't seen them at walmart. Must have. I always buy them for new moms for baby showers :)

My daughter will be 8 in 2 weeks and I am renting a stroller for our upcoming DisneyWorld trip. She tires easy and it just makes life easier when we can stay on the go and she can rest. On our last trip Oct 2010 I rented from Orlando Stroller Rentals and was extremely happy. This time I am renting from Kingdom Strollers and the main reason I am selecting them is because they sell cases of water and will deliver it with my stroller.

We actually rented on a different company-Baby Wheels Orlando. They offered safe, clean, lightweight, and very affordable strollers. They delivered and picked the strollers right on our hotel. They were very nice. We didn't rented on the theme park stroller rentals because the strollers are mostly "on property". This limits usage on the theme parks only. Also, theme park strollers are on a first come first serve basis so you might miss that out and you sure will carry your tot out and about around theme parks (that's a pain really). I highly recommend Baby Wheels Orlando.
