We are going to WDW in August and last time we rented a double stroller from Apple (I was unimpressed and won't use them again.) Our kids were 4 and 14 months. This trip they will be just 6 and almost 3. ODD is a tall/solid girl and my YDD is tiny, combined at that point they'll probably be around 80 pounds.

1. Would you still get a double stroller at those ages? I know my 6 year old will get tired. I just don't know that she'll fit?

2. Which stroller if I go with a double?

3. Which company would you recommend?

TIA!

Hi,
I will be going to WDW in 1 week and we rented a double stroller through Orlando Stroller Rentals. My boys are 6 and 3. Their website is nice and easy, cost $90 for the week. They'll deliver to your resort and they'll pick it up from your resort. I read great reviews, hope we have a great experience with them.

Good Luck!

Monica

We are going with Kingdom Strollers for our trip in April. Heard great things about them. We are renting the City Mini GT. The City Minis are easier to fold up than the BOB strollers.

I've rented from kingdom strollers twice-once for WDW, once for Universal. I thought they were great and the strollers were very good quality. Go with the city mini gt double. It is what I have at home. It has tires vs wheels and is very easy to push with one hand. Also has a big canopy.

I will be renting a City Mini GT for my 7&2 y's next summer from Kingdom. Used them 2 years ago and were happy with the stroller/service. My kids will be about the same combinedweight as your 2. With 1 a lot older, we have found we can easily split up with the older one walking. Have fun!

We've rented from magic strollers and kingdom strollers and both companies were great, no complaints about anything. I would rent a double with your ages. The oldest my kids were when we rented a double was 8 and 5, lol...we regret it, probably a single would've been good but rather be safe than sorry. Anyway, when looking up rentals companies, we go with whatever is cheapest and good reviews.

We've used Magic Strollers twice and it's always been great. We always get the double city mini. Also if you put in the request early enough they have a limited number of rain covers which can come in handy.

Thank you for asking this question. I started out thinking we'd just take our strollers, but renting seems like less hassle for better stroller.

Do you all opt to add the insurance coverage when renting???

we used Orlando rentals and had no problems. We got the citi double stroller. I did get the ins cause I was afraid but it probably isn't really needed. Not sure when we go again if we will get the ins but I believe it was $25. We thought about taking one too but it was so much easier to rent it. They brought it to the hotel and picked it up. There is a big sign on it with your last name so its a lot easier to find that one plus harder for someone to take yours instead of theirs.

We are going the end of Feb for 1 week. My children are 7 and 9. Trying to decide whether or not to rent a stroller. Def won't need it all the time, but selfishly I'm thinking it would be nice to have so I don't have to lug all of out stuff around!!!! Also, nice to have for eating on the go and at night. Thoughts?

We've used Magic Strollers 3 times for our twin grandsons...loved the double stroller and the service. The last time we used them the boys were 3 and good sized, they fit in the double city mini just fine.

Highly recommend them.

We rented a single City Mini from Kingdom Strollers in October.

It was there when we arrived and in great, clean condition.

We've also taken an umbrella stroller.

I vote for a double jogger. They are big and comfy! Plus we liked having the basket underneath for our bag of extra stuff - changes of clothes, snacks, sunscreen, etc. that I didn't want to carry in my purse all day.
