Stroller rental questions

This trip, we will be using Disney's rental strollers. I'm a little clueless about the rental process. Are they still doing that multi-day rental pay-in-advance-and-get-a-discount thing? If so, what if you end up not using one of your prepaid days? Would it expire or can you save the voucher (or whatever it is you get) for a future trip?

I know that you can rent a stroller at one park, park hop, and then get a stroller at the second park without paying the rental fee again, but will this work at Downtown Disney as well? If not, is their rental fee structure different? (We only plan to be there for 1-2 hours.)

Finally, I read in the UG about the "grey market" for strollers where families entering a park in the late afternoon or evening pay $3 or $4 to families who are done with their rental stroller for the day. Have any of you done this successfully? I was considering it, especially if DD is able to walk most of the day but needs to crash after dinnertime. It sounds like a win-win, but what would "The Suits" do to us if we are caught?

1.) The vouchers do not expire. You can save them and use them on another trip.

2.) DTD does not have strollers.

3.) I've never heard of buying a stroller off someone else, but starting after dinner/early evening you can usually find abandoned strollers (the name tags are usually taken out). We will snag one of those if we want a 2nd one. Late evening (after the parade/fireworks) there will be tons of them around.
