Does anyone know if the stroller rental in the parks is connected to your magic band? Or will I still need to hold onto my receipt if we leave and come back in?

You'll need to keep your receipt.

We are traveling with friends in June who will need a stroller. The picture of a stroller on https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/guest-services/stroller-rentals/
is definitely not what I have seen in the parks. Have the parks gotten new strollers?

No, that photo is definitely NOT what they rent in the parks!
Here's what the park rentals look like. http://www.wdwinfo.com/tips_for_touring/strollerrental.htm.

I prefer to rent through either Magic Strollers or Kingdom Strollers. They both offer Baby Jogger brand strollers (which are lightweight & very easy to fold), excellent prices, great service (drop off & pick up at your hotel) and you get to have your stroller with you at all times.

to pp: one thing to think about is at end of night when kids are most tired, the park rental stroller has to be left inside the park. you have you walk to bus, boat or monorail with tired kids. plus you will have a walk of some sort back at resort. I would look at off site rental for these reasons. I know about having to fold stroller on buses can be a pain but so is just missing the bus back and waiting for next bus with no place for child to sit. been there and done that, never again

You do have to keep your receipt with you.

Our kids just needed the stroller to save their feet so that they could do the walks to the buses and the hotel etc. We usually parked it somewhere while we toured a small area and went back to it when we had to make a long walk somewhere. Really worked well for us.

We typically take an umbrella stroller, but I don't even want to do that. I'm thinking of the in park rental option in case we have tired feet and need one in a pinch. It would probably just be for a few hours a day, but it's nice to have the option.

I like the idea of parking and doing an area then coming back to the stroller later.
